Thesame onyeka did thesame thing to me at Lagos airport. I didn’t recognize her at that time and then asked her a simple question. Omo, seee gbege, she embarrass me with one nonsense statement like that! She is very rude. Even my aunty who is a professor has thesame envouter with her. And she no get money

That is it. Sometimes, what we see on TV are just exaggerations of good qualities. The movies portray these people as almost perfect. And because many of us only see these people on TV, they seemed to exist outside our world like some gods. Wait till you meet some of them and you will see that they are just human beings. I have a cousin who hates Funke Akindele because of the encounter she had with her. Prior to that encounter, she had adored Funke. Till now, she still finds it hard to believe that the likable Jenifa could visibly snub her in a mall.

In an interview with NET, Nigerian Singer, "Aramide" reveal the incident that made her lose her respect for one of her childhood inspirations, Onyeka Onwenu.

Aramide who narrated how the veteran singer "Onyeka Onwenu" shunned her after she stuck around the veteran singer for a photo.

‘I was still really new in the industry and I opened the stage for her, I got down and decided to take a picture with her, as soon as I got there she went off on me. She said ‘Don’t touch me’. It was like the worst experience I have had in my life. Everyone was staring at me. I don’t think she knew I opened the show for her’.

‘I even knelt down to greet her, and she said okay come and take the picture. For a moment, I felt bad, but the good thing about that kind of situation is that it makes you work really hard…I lost my respect for her after that event, I don’t think I would see her and say hello. But It was a long time ago. It is what it is now, I have moved on,’ Aramide concluded". She said.

I wouldn't call you a baby for that. And it is true we react to things differently. Soon, the homesickness will wear off and the semester will run out and you would be back home again.

I remembered boarding school. My mom would drop me off at school and as soon as I had offloaded, I would be eager to have her leave so I could begin my life without her. But one September, immediately I had removed my load from the car, she hugged me as she used to and I burst into tears. Something I didn't do when I was younger and still a stranger to boarding school life.
