And what I said was, it’s not the type of what you call a bad road in Nigeria they are complaining about. Their so called type of bad roads are some of the best you have got in your state capital in Nigeria. Remember, America has the largest road network than any other country in the world. Roads are even tarred to every house doorstep. Not an exaggeration. I mean every house doorstep in America. Both with concrete and bitumen. You will drive and walk on tarred road into your living room. Is that what you want to compare with Nigerian mentality of bad roads. Nigeria will never have such roads in hundred years to come if you guys continue running the country the way you are right now. Dey there dey deceive yourself.

Stop this all Nigerians in America are broke nonsense. I have not gotten there yet, but I’m not broke. How much is $1600. Despite that I send money to Nigeria every month for special purpose. I still pay my bills comfortably here and still not left with nothing. Apart from physical cash in hand. This is what my bank account look like now. A screen shot of my mobile banking app. It doesn’t look impressive because that’s little money in there. Nevertheless, I’m less than two years in America. I know you are a rich guy. I cannot tell you I am rich. But I just wanna tell you I make a honest living here and I’m happy as everything I want is available unlike Nigeria without common constant electricity.

You don't really need all that wasted resources in America. If you feel you need a shared apartment fine, and if you feel you need a bigger apt so be it. The more you spend the less you save. You guys in Nigeria want to see people with 4 wasted rooms were u all can lodge for free vacation. Nah, it's not going to happen

you just dey call banker how many people be banker for Nigeria

a country is measured by how her lower class citizen and taken care off you sound so educated but sorry you have the wrong education the value of life is what should come first it ain't easy anywhere I must say

[This shows how ignorant you are. I for one moved to the states with an immigrant visa, went to a University not a college. Got a good job, and saving more than my earning back in Nigeria as an Oando staff. Stop talking crap please, it's disgusting when ignorants speak]

the way transparentcalifornia.com works is that it shows you salary per year from the highest to the lowest, the highest earners are in the peak of their careers,so most are old people with lot of experience and advanced qualifications.

it is a similar system every where in the world, the higher you grow in age and the more experience you get the more your salary increases

the most lucrative sectors for high income in US if young is in investment banking on wall street or in SV but you must graduate from an elite school like mit or stanford.

There are 0.001% of nigerians working in investment banking on wall street or in SV.these positions target most whites and asians.

Funny enough, there are lot of Nigerians on transparentcalifornia.com salaries that are not up to par or similar with a civil servant per annul pay in naija, those Nigerians would have been better off in Naija.

Also, most immigrant Nigerians study in a community college or have a 2 year degree so they get low salary or live in a low income area with bad schools meaning bad education for their children and less opportunity.

the people that enjoy the system with student loans and most times they study hard are the second generation(immigrant children) those one if they study hard or get good grades in High school are always given full or partial scholarship to ivy league school or a top tier school.and these people among Nigerians immigrant are few.[/quote]

"He who has not been to other people's farm would always boast that his father's farm is the biggest

There was once an old giraffe and an old pig living in a farm yard. The pig told all the other animals that the farmland is all that there is in the world. He said there are no other places you can go beyond the farmland. However the giraffe tells a different story - he said there is a world out there beyond the farmland, a big beautiful world bigger than the farmland.
The truth is - these two animals are correct in their own right. The pig has short legs so he can't see beyond his height and the farmland, so he can only pass on what he knows. However the giraffe has long legs and neck - he is taller than all the structures in the farmland so he can see beyond the farmland into the beautiful horizon.

We all tell our stories from our little perspective - but you will be doing yourself a great injustice if you think the world is restricted to only what you know.

If you sit in your little world in Nigeria and talk about other countries then you are the most ignorant buffoon - ( I am not insulting the OP, it's a general statement). If you have been denied a visa - find out why and improve your chances or try other countries - see the rest of the world and how they live, stop being a local champion spreading myopic tales.

All countries have their challenges but to compare the average economic life in US to that in Nigeria? It is not every Nigerian immigrants that are doing menial jobs, also some are doing menial but doing great!!!
Some people earn $15 an hour in US and live better quality family life than a bank manager in Nigeria - wisdom is key. I am not the average American but I have more than $10,000 in my account and so are many hard working Nigerian immigrants.
In summary - with reference to the story of the pig and giraffe - you can only talk about what you know. - if the only American Nigerians you have met are the hustlers with nothing to show - then you need to change your circle of influence.

Hi everyone. There is no need for any comparison. USA is better than Nigeria period.
Why are we so myopic in reasoning?
Naira is losing value daily, education is decaying by the day, no roads, no good hospitals, no good schools except few for the rich ones.

As for jobs, that one is a no go area.
People have mentally been washed to feel that they cannot have brand new cars in naija.
Even that bank manager in Nigeria is suffering seriously and have loans he is servicing. Manager my foot. ?....
There are managers and there are managers. ?..Some managers are assisting politicians to siphone, defraud and laundering their monies, that is how they make money....Most bank managers connives with the auditors to clear some dead rich customers accounts, especially the ones not known to the family lawyers and family members. They collect their shares (% ) from yahoo boys every weekend, they collect theìr % from the guy at forex .....ie fund transfer unit, their use OND graduates as tellers and save up the balance.I can go on and on. I don't envy bankers ooooo
Even the banker wan ja comot for naija , no time.

Guy in my opinion you sound so confused. Free the guy joor.

Your first post implies that the guy cannot afford such amount in his account hence the reason for you to say he copied someone’s else account on the internet. That it doesn’t belong to him. Just because you think you as a person cannot afford such small amount of money or you think he cannot afford it.

Secondly, you are claiming it’s because he does menial job (though you don’t have a prove) .Thats why he has such amount in his account if the money is his. Are you implying that doing menial job is what can give him such amount of money, or that’s the reason why the money is too small?

Guy what are you driving at? You sound confuse to me because of an amount we have people with Times ten of it in Nigeria. What’s a big deal there to believe?

That’s the logic of those two comments you put up there.

Even a senior RN with an annual salary of $75,000 in America can't be compared to a Bank Manager in Nigeria. Enough with their ridiculous joke!

You must be a joker LMAO

A bank manager that is not into shady stuff (most of them are) can NEVER be compared to one earming $75000 p.a. especially if that amount is after tax.

You are a noise maker. Name a single Nigerian born in the US. and choose to live in the US. that is globally known? Not even a single one. Giving birth to your children in the US. and allowing them live and grow there reduces the chance of them becoming successful. All this I won go born for yankee na pride, someone born in nigeria has a greater chance and opportunity to be more successful
