These are just some thoughts i've been wanting to elucidate for a while. Feel free to chip in or play devils advocate.

In terms of religion, sexuality and creativity, we are still stuck within the confines of a colonial mindset.

The most annoying thing is that those same white people that called us barbaric and undeveloped for walking around in loin cloths which are more suited to the enviroment we have lived in for thousands of yrs are still the same ones now saying free the nipple/ advocating nudity.

Nigerians walking around in the 34°C heat of sub-saharan Africa in 3 piece suits is that not mental slavery?

Believing in a white God with blue eyes and blonde hair that floats in space while mocking native religions as superstitious nonsense, is that not mental slavery?

Killing people for being gay with the usual excuses of "It's unafrican" or "the bible" is that not a nonsensical paradox?

Africans killing each other for the sake of Abrahimic religions is that not a shame?

Now the same western countries that colonized us call us backwards for the same beliefs they brainwashed us with.

Within 200 yrs the African mans psyche has been rewired into a stagnant and ill fitting copy of his colonial masters.

We need to start asking why?
Why do you think the way you do?
There can't be any answers without asking questions

Actually, most of the good things left by the colonizers were degraded or removed example education, history etc whereas the bad ones were upheld example tribalism and corrupt police system.

More examples of bad influence from colonizers include

1. removing shoes at the doorstep to someone's house. It was a racist belittling stunt pulled by racist colonizers to belittle Africans especially the servants and messengers. Too bad that their feeble minds adopted it in order to oppress those they feel more important than because they relate with whites and the others don't. After a while it became more of home tradition.
Even those that fought for our independence were made to remove their shoes before entering the offices of whites during meetings which was more or less meetings where the whites give the independence leaders a directive from London.

2. Tribalism was enforced and still upheld. It was used successfully to keep transported slaves from coming together to stage mutiny... It also helped keep slaves and laborers nice and hardworking for the whites. It works. That was why they insisted that the different nations and tribes be one country before they can grant independence. Made it a condition for independence. They hoped it would put a clog to the wheels of independence . It almost did . Believe it or not, That working formula of hate and tribalism is what keeps nigeria as one.

Removing shoes at door really dude. Maybe people don't want sand and dirt to sweep. Cultures all over world do it like Japanese. That example is silly.

The bolded is the most salient point. There is nothing you can do. The black man is lost for good.
