What has BVN got to do with amendment of the constitution? what is ammendment?

Banks are regulated by CBN, so? Did CBN ask for forfeiture of funds without BVN to the federal government? hmmm!

The commercial banks would throw in litigation against the fed govt soon and the court order would just be mere interim instrument with no locus standi,set aside and eventually vacated
The govt has no absolute right to ask hard working citizens to forfeit their hard earned money and in some cases their live savings.
Have they tought about deceased whose relatives couldn't get letter of admin to apply those funds,dormant account whose owners are outside the country and BVN center not available in some areas,sick people who are on wheels and can not undertake any actions
This shows how clueless and useless the current govt is.Why talking about forfeiture?why not even ask the bank to deactivate those accounts and move the funds to suspense account,dormant account etc
Banks have numerous GLs where unclaimed funds are warehoused,even some people have not collected their dividend warrants and such are posted into unclaimed funds GL
I think the present govt is looking for funds for the nest election and think they can play with peoples funds
By the time litigation begin to fly every where they will know its not easy to play with customer'S Funds

Hahahaha! Now it is very clear! APC actually came into power to impoverish Nigerians with hardship and when they die as a result, claim their money.

Just this afternoon, I decided to visit an old colleague of mine in my former place of work in his house. He owns a qsat free to air decoder so I decided to visit him so we could take advantage of the free test transmission from TSTV. I started asking him about other staff of my former workplace.

Now there was this particular man who was from the North working there as a cameraman (it is a Ministry). This man was working directly under the Minister as a video camera man who covered all the events of the minister both in still and motion (pictures and videos). During the GEJ administration while I was working there (I and many others left after buhari was elected because we were employed under contract), this man who was a full staff of the ministry was corrupt and involved in the abuse of his office and yet he would openly berate and blast GEJ. Like I said, whenever there is an event that the minister was covered, he would take the photos to Studio 24 (for those who know Abuja well) make a photo book with the various photographs of the minister, and then write a memo pegging the cost of the photo book at about N250k-N350k. When the minister approves the memo and the money is paid to him, he would take the actual cost of the photo book which is not more than N50k to Studio 24 for payment and pocket the rest. So in a week, he makes nothing less than N400k. He drove a very sleek Honda car, his children attended the prestigious Turkish Nile School and money was not a problem but yet, this man hated GEJ. I can remember one afternoon when we were at work, he told me boldly that if Buhari lost the elections, I and my people (Igbos) should get ready to see hell. That "certain preparations" had been made to that effect.

Fast foward to 2015, after buhari won, things changed. The money was no longer flowing like before. Things became very tough and he had to rely on his meagre salary as an ordinary video man with no tips to pull off this time. This colleague of mine made me understand that things went so bad for that our northern friend that the car he bought for his wife broke down and she had to collect the one he was making use of. He could no longer afford the high fees of the Turkish Nile school which I learnt is about the neighborhood of almost 300k per term so he had to withdraw them and put them in low-cost public schools (a decision which didn't go down well with the children), then the climax of it all was when he became ill from chronic hepatitis. He was admitted in the hospital for weeks and could not foot part of the bill. The ministry where he worked actually came in but did the little they could and that was it. This man (whose name I would not want to mention) according to my friend eventually died just last month in the hospital from the illness. Apart from the said hepatitis, he developed High BP.

When I heard this news today, I did NOT feel a pint of pity for the man because I remembered all the rubbish he was vomiting about how Buhari would turn Nigeria into an Eldorado.

Let me stop here.

If Govt did not do anything, the bank will not allow u acess the money. There is debit freeze on all account without BVN


Secondly , no BVN means billions of stolen funds are in the banks and can not be traced to anybody.


So when they push your reasoning button to always think you are a victim, try and use your common sense.

They told banks to publish account so people can come and claim it.

So before you condemn Govt. Wait, think and ask yourself this sincere question :

some bankers are thieves. they intentionally frustrate "next of kind" so u get tired and let it go. then they share the money and eat. as next of kin, it shouldn't take more than a month to access the account

My dear, the fact that you are filled as next of kin in the acct opening form does nt give you access to the deceased fund, you MUST still go through the court and get enrolment of order or letter of administration, so dnt blame the bank, its just nigerian banking standard, nt just your bank alone. No bank would just decide to suffer you because they "want to share your money"

Anyone who is yet to claim is late father's money since the introduction of bvn n the late father also refused to partake in bvn verification after 2 whole years of introduction can head to hell with their late father. Anyone who as been out of the country without bvn whenever he or she comes back can go to the law court to seek redress. The forfeiture is not permanent. Like for someone processing letter of administration, when u get it, u take it to the bank and link the account to your bvn and that's it, u start operating the account.
For the man that said he had a joint account with his wife, who is now late, he can link the account to his own bvn, so that account will have bvn and wount even be forfeitted in the first place.
