Lol! @zaynie; true Kent wait to launch it! But really; it tangles and hes in pain when combing. So I usually apply olive oil and comb in the bathroom upon that gan he's in pain. Or should switch to coconut oil??

Then; for the carrier??

I started using shampoo from day 1.

coconut oil is good or you can prepare your own hair butter (shea butter + coconut oil + olive oil).

Kilode?
Did they do you bad?
I'm just tired of them, have called them twice in the last 15 mins, they aint picking. If I say lemme drop by now, they would keep me in the "waiting room" for ten mins while they "decorate". Last time I was there, I could hear the child wailing while they hastily changed her, when I finally came in, the bodysuit she was wearing as inner wear was drenched with water (which she does by spitting whenever you give her water to drink) but I sha wondered how long she'd been wearing that in their AC room that they've refused to do something about but the main reason tho is that the cold is really affecting her, we didn't go yesterday (went to hospital) and half of today. I'm gonna find a creche that can't afford to keep the AC on all day cheesy but before that one of my sisters is coming to Lag today, she'd come and baby sit small.

Wow, thanks so much for the detailed explanation. I ended up giving her after confirmation from another doctor. She's still coughing but I know it will stop. God keep them for us.

Amen

How's your baby?

Any improvement in the last 24 hours?

its normal for her to cough as she has to 'cough out' all the phlegm.

the main thing to keep an eye on is her breathing. if it sounds heavy, laboured and as if she is grasping for breadth or any noticeable wheezing in her breathing, please take her back to the hospital ASAP.

how is she doing regarding food? you can start off with a slice of toast and jam/butter with a small cup of freshly squeezed juice (this was what was given to my son at the hospital after the first course of pendisolone/inhaler and he ate it all). she might not eat a lot but a bite/slice here and there will do.

10mins in the waiting room ke? shocked shocked shocked angry angry

I am guessing your baby is not yet 12 months old. which sane crèche keeps the AC on all day for babies that age? or is the room not well ventilated? the cold will most definitely affect her. what is the age group of children in the 'babies room'?

a good crèche must listen to the concerns/instructions of a parent (whether or not they feel its ridiculous) and make necessary adjustments.

please start looking for another crèche and make sure you carry out appropriate due diligence and ask as many questions as possible.

@giddyperson, please withdraw your baby from that creche i plead. Why are they doing hide and seek in the first place.
A creche is where you should be able to check on your baby anytime, any day you like because that is what they are being paid for to monitor and take proper care of our little ones.

God is already giving you the green light that they are doing something wrong that is why your baby cloth is wet and they cant even change it on time including AC that is always ON is not really good. Sometimes they also need fresh air.

Please look for another creche and make proper investigation before you enroll your child like free access, health environment, teachers handling, kitchen usage and Real-time information from other parent.

I wish you well

They claim that the oldest baby there is 15 months while the youngest is 3 months. I asked a lot of questions o, I didn't think the AC would have been much of an issue cuz they keep it as its lowest and my baby sweats a lot. Atleast having experienced these people, I know exactly what to look out for at the next creche.

I know all the babies in my son's creche. I've met their mummies. Even the after school kids there's one agbaya that is always harassing my son. This one that everything is hidden is not ok at all. They don't even use AC at ours even though there's light all day. Just keep looking, you'll find one that works

Congratulations to all the New moms. Wanted to know wen i can start using baby shampoo for my Bobo. He's 9weeks old and though his hair isn't so much; it tangles and he cries duri ng combing.

Also, I want to get a carrier but want info b4 purchase. What size can one use it from and to? E.g. from 4kg to12kg? Without getting front or back pain? Bobo is almost 6kg.

Thanks!

You can get a eventflo carrier or anyother good carrier. I personally used eventflow and its from 4kg to 11.8kg. Still using it until 1 year old then will get another one that will last me till 2year.

For his hair, use original shear butter to scrub it before combing. It will make it soft and easy to brush.

They're up to no good.
Even my previous school in Lekki, you won't spend a minute at the gate, you might not enter the class during lessons but you would be allowed to watch the CCTV. The best anyone can do for us is to call from the kitchen and tell us a parent is watching us and this happens when the class is rowdy so the teacher can settle the kids down.

giddyperson. that's a good decision. its hard to fine a good creche. any crèche where a child can't be taken to mum immediately no be it believe me. as soon as they see a mother, they hurry and change the child. sometimes they are left with poo for a long time. so many thing happened that parent don't know. its only God that protect our little ones. I quess a child is also coughing there thats y she caught the cold. hope u see a better one.

I learnt here not to wash baby's hair everyday, just once a week, so as to retain it's natural oil. I didn't do it with my 1st but doing it with this one.

I don't think you need a supplement, introducing solids is work. Shebi you did EBF? More work. Just keep trying small small, she will eat. Still feed her milk

Gerber rice and banana apple, oatmeal single grain, August secret nuttymeal, mixagrain. For the Gerber, I put one tablespoon in her eating bowl then I add 2scoop of nan2 formula sometimes 1scoop. Then I mix with warm water. She will eat 3small sized spoon only. Then the A.S, I follow the instructions on the pack.

Cc: Rhemy2013

She even doesn't want baby okra soup. I even tried banana and apple puree she refused. But when she sees you with orange her eyes will widen and she starts dragging it.
