win the rest of the match means that The 2-0 scoreline of the home team will be cancelled and the game starting afresh.
this means that if the home team scores another goal without the away scoring, the scoreline will be 1-0 that means the home team wins.
but if the home team didnt score again or they score and the away equalized, that means that the match ended in a draw.

U lost the bet because irrespective of the 2-0 scoreline, the home team didn't score another goal after U placed the bet.
