Rochas has beat him but people are ignorant of that becos they are so focused on hearing and making unconfirmed lies about okorocha controversial. Okorocha does not commission projects he believes in "come and see for yourself". Okorocha is Imo's best governor take it or leave it.

The guy has raped Imo State in such magnanimous brutality. Imo is bleeding and unattended to. If those statues don't bow down overnight in pieces like that if Dagon, more of Ra, Hades and Poseidon will stand in Imo. Imolites this is a call for action. Do the needful.

Rocha's have failed the people of IMO, keeps wasting funds to build statues

I don't think you are in Owerri...all the people that say Rochas is bad are just expressing their grief on what losses they've incured in okorocha's massive urban renewal projects. It is normal but what is abnormal there is their malicious accusations against okorocha. For sure for good things to come to anywhr their must be sacrifices. Go and ask el Rufai and Abuja people. You talk rubbish. I don't mean to insult you. I have been in Owerri right from the time of Enwerem, I have not stayed out of Owerri for a week continuously. I can testify on the performance of every government since 1992. Rochas performed the first two years of the first tenure. He only used the free education thing to get the second term. All the roads he did are substandard, tell me if he works a road this Xmas period by March next year, he will sink money into it. The contractors are crying of non payment of the job done. He has destroyed civil service now. Pensioners are owed more 14 months and when he gives check, it will bounce. Every open land in the choice place in Owerri has been converted into his personal property. Grab and grab is the order of the day. People are not talking about him good again. The first tenure, they spoke well of him. But this second term, no no no.

Nneoma my dear, i hope are on top of the situation with this your boy, Rochas? Just thinking.

Imo State has become the home of statutes of foreign politicians!

The unfinished statue of Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has been visibly spotted in Owerri ahead of the president's two-day visit to Imo state. According to a report by Imo state government, Liberian president will arrive Imo state on Thursday, November 9, 2017, to meet with students of the Rochas Foundation College of Africa and the Students from Liberia in particular whose parents died of Ebola.

The Liberian president will also be expected to key into Vision 2030 of ROCHAS FOUNDATION COLLEGE, targetted at taking one million children of Africa out of the street and giving them education.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, will be appreciated with Imo Merit Award and a road will also be named after her. And with all the feats she has achieved, she earns a Place in the Imo Hall of fame.

How it all started: around 2012, Gov. Rochas Okorocha was advised by Owerri people that constitute his core advisers to forget rest of Imo state, but build for Imo state a befitting capital city to be proud of by every Imo citizen; Owerri to become the Dubai of Africa; that in future, other governors may consider development in other towns in Imo state.
Rochas agreed, abandoned rest of Imo state, including urban roads and drainage system in Orlu and Okigwe, but use the the federal allocations of the 27 local government areas and state allocations to bulldoze old structures and build new ones in Owerri.
Meanwhile, rest of Imo outside Owerri decays.

Now, Rochas is at the stage of decorating Owerri streets with statues of prominent people. But Owerri thinks Rochas is crazy.

Governor Okorocha will be remembered in history for building of statues of some African presidents.
