If these said people died in a plane crash while on legal emigration, it's a different ball game. Then it'd be sane for him to comment..

But a group of persons don't embark on illegal emigration, after such act has been denounced by the government and personally discouraged, then die and expect public sympathy.

You know, normally I would agree that the President is insensitive. OK, we lost 26 people in the Mediterranean. How many did we lose the same day to road accidents, poverty, gas explosions, police, herdsmen, terrorists, armed robbers, kidnappers, cultists, hypertension, aids and malaria?
