This looks like a good link for those who wanna go the PNP route to start out with http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp

I'm of the opinion there really should be a different thread for PNP. It only makes sense. Most of the conversations here don't serve the purpose of those who wanna go the PNP route. PNP guys probably need to continue to push so the mods can finally listen.

And pls what's the meaning of FTD? Pardon my ignorance. You're the 2nd person I've seen adding this to his timeline. CAstruggle, congratulations!
FTD means file transfer date.

London VO! I just tire.In the early days, I used to hate Boss13's guts, felt he was overbearing, shoving his opinions down people's throats. Hmm,however, these days, I agree almost 100% wt him even though he goes overboard once in a while. The wait is no joke! 5months post AOR and LVO is still saying file awaiting review! They haven't even touched it at all since it was transfered to them. One is just in limbo. And to add salt to the existing injury you keep seeing applications that took roughly 16-22 days from AOR to PPR! Anyways in God we trust, would soon sing my victory song. I just dey console myself say its 6months average processing time they told us ab initio. Fingers crossed and calmly waiting. Phew!

Of course, it will come. Unfortunately it's taking too long, but that in itself should be a good sign. If they were looking unfavourably on your application, the decision would have come sooner than now. So, it's a positive sign.

Thanks

I understand apprehensions over London VO however using Immigration tracker I noticed that this is not a peculiar case. In fact Dakar and Delhi VO have a longer turnout time than LVO. Am sure all the theories are well founded but let's be objective.

I wish everyone a speedy Timeline and for those in London VO your time is coming soon.

Accra VO was once a dreaded place for files to be sent. I don't know what happened, some say petitions , some say more staff was employed . Now turn around in Accra is less than 90 days.

Whew...finally caught up with thread. undecided

Big congrats to all the PPR and ITA recipients.

The thread is moving quite fast I must admit. I noticed a lot people quoting long posts. This practice contributed greatly to the speed of the thread. I urge us to refrain from doing this.

May I also add my voice to those of us requesting for a separate thread for PNP route. Many people with low CRS would benefit from such dedicated thread. Being a PNP candidate myself, I can attest to the fact that not much PNP info/experience sharing is available on this particular thread.

For people considering the PNP route, ON is a very good option if you can afford the CAD 1,500. Got my nomination within 16 days of submitting my application to their Human Capital Priorities Stream.

In conclusion however, I urge every person embarking on this life changing journey to be ready to put in the work! Don’t expect anyone to spoon feed you with information that you can learn by doing your own thorough research (not limited to Nairaland). May God bless everyone taking out time to answer questions and helping people out on this thread.

Journey so far:

PNP - ON
AOR: 16th Sep
Medicals Passed: 12th Oct
Ip1: 12th Oct
NA2: 13th Oct
IP2: ?
PPR: smiley

I’m available to answer any related questions or enquiries. Cheers guys

Thanks for such detailed information, just to add, Express Entry PNP processing time is 6 months, while paper based PNP processing time is 17 months. I don't know why the difference.

stealth02:
There appears to be a dearth of information surrounding PNPs and just as @codew0rks mentioned previous attempts at creating a PNP thread was shut down. Notwithstanding some members on this thread got their PPRs through provincial programs. Here's a link to some useful information about PNPs culled from Part 1 thread

https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/144#47208212

I felt I should give an overview and summary application costs for PNPs that DON'T require a job offer. However most of them have target occupation lists but generally in the NOC 0, A or B categories similar to the Federal requirement

- SK $300 (Saskatchewan has an In-Demand Occupation list)
- NB $250 (New Brunswick is currently targeting occupations in IT AND applicants must show connections to NB by attending an information session or studied in NB)
- PE $300 (Prince Edward Island has no specific target occupation list)
- MB $500 (Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas have no specific target occupation list BUT applicants must show social ties - have family, friend or studied in Manitoba or attended an information session)
- ON $1500 (Ontario EE Human Capital Priority Stream has no target occupation list but applicant must have CRS of 400 or more to be invited)
-NS No application fees (Nova Scotia Demand EE Stream- Category 2 has a target occupation list)

Also be aware that some of the various programs are selective about certain ECA assessments that they accept. In addition to sending your ECA to IRCC you will also be required to inform your assessing body to send a copy of your assessment directly to the PNP program once you receive their ITA/NOI otherwise this may delay your application for provincial nomination

- SK/PE/MB/ON/NS accept all IRCC designated ECAs (CES,ICAS,WES,IQAS,ICES,MCC,PEBC)
- NB accepts only CES, ICAS, WES, MCC and PEBC

The current processing time for PNPs on the CIC website is stated as 6 months(same as FSW). However there's no hard and fast rule for how long it takes to receive a provincial nomination once you submit your Expression of Interest - obviously this would vary from one province to another.

Note that the various programs have different PoF requirements some even lower than CIC's but applicants would ultimately be required to show funds that comply with the Federal scheme when submitting to CIC for their PPRs.

Generally, PNPs have a residency requirement that the applicant intends to live and work in that particular province. However it's still being argued that the 2 years residency is not mandatory. Take NB for example which requires applicants to sign form NBNP006 'Declaration of Commitment to New Brunswick' but doesn't clearly specify how long you are required to live in NB after showing yourself to the NBNP program officer within 30 days of your arrival in Canada.

Section 6(2) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states that a Canadian Permanent Resident can move anywhere within the country.

Section 6(2)
Every citizen of Canada and every person who has the status of a permanent resident of Canada has the right:
a) to move to and take up residence in any province; and
b) to pursue the gaining of a livelihood in any province.

Hopefully more information would become available in coming posts to help intending applicants successfully navigate the PNP process as in the case of FSW.

Best wishes

While I agree with you that it's unnecessary to quote long posts, I don't think that actually contributes "greatly to the speed of the thread". Every page on Nairaland must carry 32 posts; that's been programmatically determined from the beginning so that even if anyone quoted an incredibly long post, it doesn't change anything, it's still 32. Even if a post is hidden by the mods that page will still carry 32 posts (including the hidden post). Quoting long posts does nothing to increase the length of the thread. What increases the length of the thread is asking questions for which answers have already been suggested to death or are in Page 0-1.
Just thought to put this out there, cos someone said the same thing sometime ago and it's actually not correct assumption.

Hi guys, quick question pls, my IELTS is expiring on the 9th of Jan. So my questions are

1. If we get ITA next week and we submit our application before the 9th are we good to go? I have read several opinions on this, even on Canada visa forum. Pls let me know if someone has been in my shoes and got PPR

2. Would you advice I just book for another date and rewrite? Pls let me know, what you think.
