Save A Soul: A Nairalander's B.Sc First Class Certificate Was Stolen

This happened to a brother of mine in ilorin. He graduated last month and was issued the certificate few weeks ago.

My room was burgled on Friday, 10/11/2017 at about 6am and a University of Ilorin just issued *B.Sc certificate* with the name *AKEWUSOLA RIDWANULLAHI ABIODUN* of *Architecture Department (First Class Division)* was stolen alongside one HP Laptop and charger, a phone, clothes, all in a black bag with red stripes.

The B.Sc. Certificate was contained in a UNILORIN Convocation *Pink Scroll* which is inside the bag.

We've done so. We are even planning to go to the radio station, but you know, the cost for radio broadcast is way too much for a student that just graduated after going through a lot. According to a friend, they pay 60k for a minute broadcast, we sure can't afford that but we'll go and see anyway. But for now, we need to keep broadcasting the message from WhatsApp group to Facebook and so on, the more reason why I'm asking the mods to help us spread the message on nairaland as well.

Easier said than done. The school don't issue certificate twice no matter what. You are not the only one that knows about swearing affidavit and obtaining police report, if it was as easy as you outlined above, trust me there wouldn't be any broadcast whatsoever.

Your passion is very misplaced even if your solution is correct. You don't know the premium attached to a degree certificate. Meanwhile, originals are irreplaceable, you only get certified copies, which are nevertheless good as an original.

Some of us here started acquiring certificates since 2008, and yet will continue. That same school you think that they don't issue certificate twice, many has gotten there's without noise. But with this thread here, it will be hard for this person to get his.

Lol. When you started acquiring certificates in 2008, i already had two masters degrees and the certificates are intact. Stop making it sound like you have achieved a whole lot and no, no degree certificate is replaceable by another original, check what you have again.

This Is bad, has it been reported to the school management and ask if it can be replaced?
There should be provisions/solution for things like this.

They will be going to the University Senate tomorrow to report. What we heard, however was that from previous situation as this, nothing was done on their part. Nevertheless we are giving it a try.

All the best bro... Firstclass in architecture mehn, that's not an easy fit, and you don't even needs that certificate self, no be to just open form they draw house plans.

Abeg go back your University go collect another copy...you be first class you suppose get clout.

Report to the police. Go get a court affidavit. Go report at your school and discuss a way forward.

Fat lie, a minute of broadcast can't cost more than 10k.

Mind you, I'm in the system.
