I am very disheartened this morning (and am sure God is also angry) with the hypocrisy is Men of God by the way their have continued to monetized the Gospel of Christ.
I really got infuriated this morning when I tried to download a Daily Devotional of one of the Largest Christian Church in Nigeria, Lo and behold, after downloading the Devotional, it wasnt accessible unless downloders pay N500 before accessing the devotional.
Which means if you don't pay N500, you can't access the Devotional. It invariably means, THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST ( By means of the Devotional) IS FOR SALE!!!
Men of God and Church Leaders, how can that be WHY SALE DAILY DEVOTIONALS ONLINE IF YOU CLAIM TO BE SPREADING THE GOSPEL THAT CHRIST GAVE FREE?

" Go and Spread the Gospel to all the earth ". That was one of Christ's admonition to the church before his demise.
With these age of internet and technology, spreading the gospel and reaching out to millions of people in any part of the world is even made much more easier. With online Apps, videos, live streaming lives can be touched in any part of the world so long as people have access to internet. All it requires is to upload the Gospel on the internet and the Gospel is spread.
Today, Many "Men of God" with large congregations claim to want to spread the gospel to all part of the earth, but are doing the contrary be monetizing the Gospel and hindering spread of the gospel.
GOD IS NOT HAPPY WITH THESE ACTS COMING FROM MEN OF GOD.
Ofcourse in defense, there will be claims that the Church is not party to such acts. But the question is, can the church produce Devotional and it is Monetized and sold online without the Church's privy to it??
Christians let us for once tell our Church Leaders the truth. THE CHURCH HAS BEEN MILKING THE CONGREGATION, and this MUST STOP!!!
Men of God, if you claim you are spreading the Gospel, and you produce Daily Devotionals and it is being sold, then know that YOU ARE SELLING THE GOSPEL ( there is no other excuse you can give to justify your act.
And just to remind you: The Gospel of Christ is not for sale!!!
After all, a Christian Denomination ( Gideon International) has been incurring huge costs by producing and sharing Bible FREE all over the world. So No excuse for selling Gospel Devotional materiall online via Apps that doesn't incur costs.

GOD IS NOT HAPPY WITH THESE ACTS FROM HIS CHURCH.

Why don't you and many others like you for once tell yourselves the truth the way you see it??
Are you saying the church is Right to sell its Daily Devotional Online? Is the Gospel for sale?
You say Gideon International is sponsored. Aren't the big churches in Nigeria sponsored? What is the Tithe and Offerings meant for? Aren't they meant to take care of costs of spreading the Gospel?
It is people like you ( who are quick to justify the ills of church leaders) that is the real problem even more than the leaders.
The Church and some Men of God are milking the congregation because the congregation have deliberately remained gullible and refused to say the truth when it clear.

The church will request you and I ( the congregation) to sow into a church project of establishing a high brow expensive school / university that we cannot afford for our kids. Then the church will turn around to tell us the school/ university is meant to draw the rich and highly placed in the society to Christ.
Who is fooling who?
And the church rake in millions of naira (tax free) from these schools/ university and they bluntly fail to utilise such proceeds to build low budget schools for the benefit of the congregation that sowed for the establishment of the initial school.

Let the congregation see and say the truth, it will set us free and help our church Leaders to do the right thing!!You are one of the few who reason well,God bless you for this write up.even if they are collecting 50k as school fees it is still okay no 300k and they claim they are missionary schools tell me how are they mission schools.

Belief me OP, you don't need to be very disheartened, what to do to solve the problem in your own capacity is to look for money(or sell your properties if you don't have money) and print the same FREE gospel of Jesus Christ, then distribute your own copies for free.

When you know something is not done right, mere talking will not solve the problems, rather practicalize it without grudging to so us example. We are tired of people who only criticise others and talk in theory, but fail woefully practically in the same things they accused others of. Try to remove the log in your own eyes first.

I am sure you will never see other tracts, phamplets and books they have distributed for free in thousands, except the one you want to use to critisice. If they come to you to donate willingly to print messages to reach others for free, people like you will label ministers of extortion without even donating a dime except mere accussation.

Have you ever find out from the owner why they did that or wheather they are trying to raise money so they will not lay burden on the members for God's work? Do you expect them to come to your house to tell you how many poor they are feeding? How many naked they are covered?

So, please, leave judgement to God, or ask questions from the concerned people first before you base your fact on assumptions.
