One of the reasons why I respect most atheist is because they are usually neutral in their dealing with any religion. But in your case, reverse comes to play. Maybe because you were once a Muslim.. I can't tell.. But I think it's high time you stop being sentimental and treat every religion the same. I'm not a Christian. the problem with most of us, do alot of eye service to show relevance, the God you are worshiping knows you have nothing for offering.but because you want to please every one you go out there to put empty envelop in the name of offering. Just be sincere in his presence, do the mock you, your time of overflow is coming. So remain on your stand or queitly go out. If not the order of worship of some churches, no one is suppose to know whether you came with offering or not. remain sincere.

I pay my tight and offering once in a month via e channel after deciding on what to give monthly. I dont worry myself when going to church on offering issues, no be everyday person dey get money for hand.

The business is with God and not an usher or anyone else

God does not care if you give him money or gift in church to feed and cloth your pastor or not, He cares about how you treat the beggars and the disadvantaged you find on the streets more.
