lots of gallant men have fallen..... Becos they lacked d basics in military warfare, more NVG, more MRAPs, better communication systems, faster air support, this are the basics we lack.... Do this and save more lives..

Using d US ambush in Niger to justify our gross inadequacies in equipments when u categorically cannot not explain d details surrounding the attack,i have been privileged to have been in Bama,Maiduguri and some other hotbeds in d north east i speak from a first hand view and not yapping off because I want to... We lost more lives needlessly in this war than necessary just becos we lacked the basics, no justification what so ever for our gross ineptitude towards the gallant men on the front line, don't sit at home behind ur smart device and type becos u think u r logically sound, Are u aware that with just a couple of NVG's late Col. Abu Ali wouldn't have died?? They would suppressed the attack thereby beating back d ambush... FYI... I aren't replying u again. Think before u speak.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) was established in 1963 and since then it has continually faced numerous challenges one way or the other- corruption, endemic budget mismanagement and looting, lack of credible aerial platforms and ineffective policy decisions amongst others. This is mostly attributed to carelessness and greed of the past Military leaders. Years of negligence has left the NAF almost in a collapsed stature with old and outdated working equipment, low morale within the rank and files and finally poor combat performance record which led to the
incident in February 2017 where the Nigerian Air Force jets was intercepted 6 times deep in Chadian airspace during the Boko Haram offensive.

The once proud service which was the envy of most African and Asian nations has now lost most of its prestige and reputation. The glorious days when the Nigerian Air Force operated top-of-the-line aircrafts like the Gurevich Mikoyan MiG-21 FishBed, SEPECAT Jaguar Nuclear-capable long-range strategic strike aircraft, MB-339 Maritime strike and trainer jet, L-29 Delfin Trainer and attack aircraft. Other less capable aircraft (but still formidable at that time) includes MiG-17 Fresco. All this aircraft mentioned were some of the best as that time. Additionally, plans to acquire more was in an advanced stage before everything went to dust.

Hello Sir, Hope am not wrong if I call you officer.
I attended Nigerian Army short service combatants course interview last year but failed.
I intend enlisting into the Nigerian Army through it's Short Service Combatants Course (SSC) but many are advising me to opt for Direct Short Service Course (DSSC) instead based on my course of study.
pls are DSSC officers superior to SSC.

I intend enlisting into the Nigerian Army through it's Short Service Combatants Course (SSC) but many are advising me to opt for Direct Short Service Course (DSSC) instead based on my course of study which is Information Management Technology.
pls are DSSC officers superior to SSC.

what happened at the medicals ? In case you need to make corrections now cos to best of my knowledge both corps apply the same medical principle.

DSSC isn't superior to SSC. They both receive commissioning. However DSSC is specifically for professionals

I didn't notice.
it was as a result of it I was eliminated, the military officer in charge of medical confirmation told me that the bowleg isn't the issue.

The NA introduced physiotherapy confirmation in 2016 for those who attend board interview.
This means if you fail physical examination you will come before the medical board and then they will verify if the doctor was right.
