History Supreme - $4.5billion 

This grandiose 100-feet edifice was designed by UK luxury designer Stuart Hughes. The yacht took over 3 years to complete and was bought by an anonymous Malaysian businessman for an unbelievable $4.5billion! This masterpiece was assembled with pure gold and platinum. From its base to the stair railings, all were made with at least 100,000kg of gold and platinum. It houses a 64kg 24-carat gold Aquavista Panoramic Aquarium, a liquor bottle, adorned with a rare 18.5-carat diamond, worth $45million and an iPhone wrapped in 500 cut diamonds.

 

Eclipse - $1.5billion 

This luxury liner is owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. It comes in as the second most expensive luxury yacht in the world with a worth of $1.5billion. The 536 feet long yacht was built by Blohm and Voss of Hamburg and ranks as the second largest in the world. 24 guest cabins, 2 swimming pools, a disco hall, 2 helipads, 3 launch boats, a mini-submarine, a missile defence system, armour-plated bulletproof windows and a laser-controlled anti-paparazzi shield are few of the magnificent features you'll find on this beauty.



Streets of Monaco - $1.1billion

This is simply a floating replica of a section of Monte Carlo in Monaco, thus the reason for its name. The proposed 500 feet superyacht to be built by Yacht Island Design of Derbyshire, England is expected to cost $1.1billion. It would feature miniature versions of some of the famous landmarks in Monaco like the Monte Carlo Hotel and racetrack and Hotel de Paris. A mini waterfall, a café-bar with underwater views and submarines are some of the features it would boast of on completion.



Azzam - $650million

The world's largest and fourth most expensive luxury yacht measures at 590 feet long, costs $650million, was built by Lürssen Yachts and was delivered to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nayan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Emir of Abu Dhabi. It has one of the fastest reaching speeds of about 35mph and was described as 'the most complex and challenging yacht ever built'.



Dubai - $350million

This superyacht was acquired by Platinum Yachts for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Rashid al-Maktoum for a whopping $350million. It was built by Blohm + Voss, Hamburg and Lürssen Yachts. Dubai boasts of elaborate sunbathing areas and jacuzzis. A circular staircase with glass steps and a helipad adorns the one-time largest yacht in the world.
