Yes, if you can get referenc letter for you one year work experience. However you would need a high score to get invited to apply for permanent residency. This score depends on your education, work experience, age, IELTS mainly. You are young hence you would score maximum point for age. Calculate what point you could score with your 1year experience here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

You can also read up everything you need to know about express entry here: https://www.nairaland.com/3999848/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

I got my permanent resident approve in just a month. So many Nigerians are taking advantage of it.

Pls is it necessary to have up to 12th CAD in the account as a single guy of 25 in order to apply for permanent residence ?

Good day house. Please, I need your help and I apologize if I ask any redundant question. I have tried to read as much as possible and I appreciate all your efforts.

I have just received the response from the visa office after my application for a trv for study and it was not as expected but I have strong hope.

The reasons given were only two folds:

1. Purpose of Visit
2. Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your qualifications; previous studies, employment, level of establishment, or your future prospects and plans.

Now, I applied and got admission for a diploma in business administration (DBA) and already paid school fees. I believe the financial conditions were sufficiently met, which left the two options given that I did not include an SOP in my application.

I already have a Bachelor of Arts in my field of undergraduate study and I did not include the SOP as I felt it was optional and needed if I had an explanation to make. I felt it was common sense to want to study business administration as the skills from this can be generally applied irrespective of your background. I am currently teaching in my field of undergraduate study.

I do believe that I have sufficient reason to appeal this decision. The DBA may be different from my area of undergrad study but the DBA will improve my knowledge of the subjects taught in my current workplace, thus I can take up more responsibility and it will also augment my bachelor's degree to position me for managerial and executive positions in the future. It will also help me in contributing to business development in my the area of my undergrad study.

So house help me. 1. Where do I go from here and 2. how do I get there?

Thank you in advance.

Keep trying Never give up.

Your application was decided based on VO's discretion. You can appeal only when there is an error in deciding your app. In your case, it doesn't seem like it. Even people going for masters have been hit with the same reason.

You can appeal, but I'm afraid you don't stand any chance. Just my humble opinion though.

Let's wait for the input of gurus in the house.

Carpe diem: seize the moment and let tomorrow worry about itself

xharles15:
Hello guys. My question is a bit off-thread, pardon me. I was recently awarded a fully paid scholarship for any undergraduate program of my choice in a university in Canada. I'm a 3rd year vet student(with 3 more years left ) in a federal university here in Nigeria. The ideal plan would be to seek permanent residency or an advanced degree (preferably med school) on completion of the undergraduate degree , but a condition of this scholarship is that I come back to develop my home country, although, the scholarship will also include a distance learning masters program.
Sorry for the long post but isn't it coming back to square one, if I have to come back to Nigeria ? I'm at crossroads here as I've always wanted to become a doctor and the mentioned condition of this scholarship could come in the way of a med school application after. Would you advise that I seize this opportunity?

Hi jnyuwa02,

Actually this is my first post on this forum. As a matter of fact, i had to sign up so i can address you and your related post. Having followed this thread silently for over a year now, i must say it is one of the most insightful and informative so far.
I used most information gotten from here to process my study permit application which was approved on the first attempt. I have learnt from past elders in this house and i'm still learning from the current knowledgeable people here too because i also want to guide my siblings to pursue their study here in Canada.
Hi jnyuwa02, I have to equally create my own account to respond this moniker that came out of his shell to shade you. cc:ISK9

@jnyuwa02, I have been a fan of your posts and every good posts on this thread because I was once on this very thread and contributed within some periods. It is amazing that this moniker who quoted your post ''carry your matter for mind tey tey''. and it is equally stunning that his response generated 33 likes +.. It signals something to me about the followers of this thread.

I like you in one aspect @jnyuwa02, because you tell most people the blunt truth here while some don't want to hear such truths. In the past years I have waited to see the testimony of those who I told the truth that I don't see the likelihood of commencing their TRV application with PGD or partially unrelated programs as their complex case/profile appeared to me while some on this same thread will tell them to paint a good SOP bla bla.. I guess those people were refused cos if they weren't, the joy of approval would make them come on the this thread to show their selves and prove me wrong equally but I never saw their comments.

@jnyuwa02 contributes meaningfully to this thread and it is left for whoever as the recipient to sieve from his posts and from others too and do as he/she wishes because at the end na still thank-you you/una go tell am without giving him a dime for an effort he made towards your application(s).. @ISK9 why didn't you come out to contribute too since he seems combative to you?. I hate people like you, and if you are amidst the persons that hit the like buttons on his post, I guess you all should follow him to put you through your applications. @jnyuwa02, you would be surprised that this fellows here who hit the like button in support of his post will still PM you to proof read their SOPs, quote you for help or PM you for one help or the other.. people are 2FACED!!!!

Please for a business owner with the CAC docs and wife a fashion designer, is there a chance in EE? Can't get a job title for myself but there is for wife. Do you have any advice on that please? I await your swift response.
You must provide proof of business registration, tax clearance and reference letters from some of your clients. Your wife doesnt necessary need to submit anything except you plan to earn extra points with her.

Please how can an entrepreneur explore the option of Express Entry?

jnyuwa02:

Did you simply omit the question or you checked no in the column where it asked whether you have ever been denied a visa before? If you omitted the question entirely you might have a chance. Just explain in your next application that you didn't see the question. But if you answered no when your answer should have been yes, I am afraid we have a serious problem there. There is nothing you can tell them now that they will believe you. It's like the kid who shouted fire on his house when there was no fire. When they real fire came, nobody showed up. But you can try. If you do, apply with a masters as your GPA is good enough. Keep the same course as this shows progression in your learning or work experience. Make google your best friend. TRU, MUN, UNBC are some easier places among many places that accept second class upper in Canada. There are some universities in Germany where instruction Is in English and there is nothing wrong with learning a new language if it comes down to it. It's a good way to improve the part of your brain responsible for memory thereby preventing Alzheimers in old age. Best of luck!

I just went through the former now and saw where I ticked No but I didn't see the last part where they wrote 'any other country'. It's Canada I saw and ticked no. Chaiii.... wahala dey! I ll try again but with masters this time and state how the US visa refusal was omitted? Why would anyone want to lie about visa refusal? Also I will try to get or apply for the kain US visa before another application. I hope say they never ban me.... Please can you help or assist me with the admissions? Like statement write up and the rest . I know it's not your field but any advise would be good. TRU is expensive oh! Haven't checked the cost of others. Do u think I can also do express entry on the side as I don't want to put my eggs in one basket? Or its not allowed? I don't like Germany. Would rather Ireland if Canada is proving difficult. All I know is that by God's grace next year ending no go meet me in Naija! Lol
Many thanks again for always responding.

Congratulations on your admission. I'll like to let you know that MUN undergraduate degree program don't have specified tuition deposit, students who pay upfront tuition fees do that on their risk/choice. Which student can always get a refund if application eventually got refused (GOD FORBID). So, you are expected to pay tuition fee 1 month prior to the start of classes.

Good luck my MUNites colleague.

Most people spend so much time looking for a supervisor because they havent done proper research on universities that do not need a supervisor to grant you admission into a masters program. The university of Regina is that one university. Im running a program there right now. so hit me up with questions about Regina and the university of Regina

I can see you've got some time. Responding and reading posts of this composition would tell an intelligent mind that the poster will NEVER see the perspective and message no matter how it is presented. I simply will take your post from that stance point.

Telling the truth is not as important as how and when you tell it. Actually, in a forum as this where there is collective knowledge, ideas and contribution, there are ways as to how you share your opinions, contributions and facts! And just as @Justwise mentioned, people are making life changing decisions through this platform.

Mind you, this has nothing to do with me and also nothing to do with who "likes" and who are 2 faced. It doesn't even matter. Anybody can do that. Using the number of likes to base your inference only affirms the sentiments placed by you ahead of the reality of the post in itself. Anybody can be drawn to something that may not necessarily reflect their total take about it. One of the points or that i also confirmed the fact that one year funds are required as informed by CIC could have led to an agreement or what ever you have tagged it and not the subject. You obviously didn't see it from that purview.

Also, you FAIL to understand in part the essence of my post which largely buttress the idea of accomodating others contributions and the issue of funds for a year which even brought the whole tension. While you are also here to respond to me based on your perceptions of my post or your regards for @jynuwa02, it still hasn't short changed the attitude he frequently exhibit while making meaningful and sometimes not so accurate information. It has noting to do with whatever truth you have referred to. People intuitively read information and match them with what would work for them. Facts as informed by CIC are the end points and it is also important it is established as opinions are shared. I'd rather see @jynuwa02 as a nairaland member than combative to me. I hardly and barely know him nor have i had delibrations or arguments with him. To even say i have carried him in mind "tey tey" is not even placeable. So this part is non-inclusive same as "hating". It only does more harm to you than the "me" you have expressed. I'd admonish you to make objective points than sentimental ones when you have to respond. The internet always have a way to show you your level of intelligence and maturity even in future times. Avail information to it that would show progress in your interactions and how significant it would be.

Why i haven't contributed here since? Your guess would be as good as mine.

My points raised remained relevant as at when it was, hardly would i even use it to ferment rancor here. If you have seen it from this light, rather unfortunate.

By the way, you should redefine the term "guru" that you have claimed. Your post is not suggestive of one that can sustain dept in both knowledge and how translatable it should be.

@jnyuwa02, is still valuable to folks here irrespective of what i said, say or think. Infact, quite actually. The aim of the thread should not be defeated which is to share relevant, precise and factual information in a collective manner with respect to others and with reciprocity as well. You should ensure these too having been a "guru" in your own right.

I greet you.

Hi jnyuwa02, I have to equally create my own account to respond this moniker that came out of his shell to shade you. cc:ISK9

@jnyuwa02, I have been a fan of your posts and every good posts on this thread because I was once a guru on this very thread and contributed within some periods.

Thanks for your vote of confidence. 33 likes wow, I didn't even bother to check before. How I wish there are ways to find out who those people are, so they can be outed. Lol. Because I have sure been getting a lot of PMs lately almost flooding my mailbox due to Nogen's open publicity of me because of her approved TRV I am suspecting. Anyways, I have no axe to grind with anyone. I consider it public service here what I am doing. Its my little way of giving back to my country and country fellows. Plus something to keep me busy till I resume school in September 2018 God willing. Let us make love not war; let us pray for a role in what God is doing in Nigeria and the world, let us help each other and spur each other to good deeds, not bicker and complain; let us be that person in the end who received that commendation, "well done, good and faithful servant." God is watching. I will always be true to what I believe is something you can count on. I wont coy away from the truth or from sensibly and logically interpreting facts. I would absolutely never be intimidated. If you disagree, I understand and you may do as you please. Its your application. I wish everyone well and as many that have the intentions of making Nigeria great or representing the country well, may TRV fall on you.
