Over the years one recurring position among job seekers is their aversion to a sales career. I believe this stems from a deep rooted misconception resulting from a faulty programming that society has foisted on us.

It is very sad to meet otherwise very smart young graduates who say they cannot take a sales job because they simply don’t like marketing. It is even more saddening when one is presented with the fact on ground which is the fact that the most advertised position today is sales. All around the world you will observe that a prolific salesman is never out of a job…at least not for a long time.

I don't know what steps you a re referring to. This is meant to be a step by step approach to understanding the concept of sales as against the predominant understanding. it is not an attempt at selling an ebook or indeed anything else. All we intend to do is to demystify sales as a a profession or career by looking at the things that most people usually cannot see because all they do is glance.

Selling is a both an art and a science.
Selling successfully is a function of the degree of confidence the selling personnel can muster.

This goes without saying that the poorly performing salesman is usually one without sufficient confidence.
now this confidence could be in the company, the product or even in himself.

This kind of attitude manifests in different ramifications but it is the primary cause for the apathy that is shown sales and marketing.

So one of the first hurdles to cross is overcoming the lack of confidence.

So how does one overcome the lack of confidence?
