actually you can be suspended pending investigation. this is not punitive but is done so you do not interfere with investigations.

Apparently, the police cleared the Prof. of any wrong doing in their investigation report and they did not charge the case to court. The girl should sue the Professor directly.

In an institution that teaches due diligence and responsibility shouldn't there be an explanation for recalling the Professor like it was an accusation and an evidence should be published to show the authenticity of such evidence. Yeah well if the Professor has been recalled to continue lecturing then the girl should be rusticated from the school because this is public display mediocrity in its highest level.
RAPE shouldn't be taken lightly.

The question one should ask is that did he really rape her?
If not, then he should be celebrated.

the matter has been discarded already as there wasn't enough evidence to corroborate the girl's allegation. In the absence of any proof of him raping her,you think he should still be castigated? For a crime he prolly didn't commit?

castigated no..but definitely shouldnt be celebrated...not enough evidence doesnt make someone innocent. I am not saying he is guilty, but we don't know if he was innocent either.
