Is IQAS 9 weeks processing time from the day the receive all your documents or from the time you receive a mail from them stating they have received it?

It starts from the day their second email comes confirming receipt of your transcript (assuming you have earlier faxed your application, certificate, passport and got acknowledgement receipt for that).

Na waa ooo. So if it takes 3 weeks for them to send the acknowledgement of the transcript receipt, the processing time will now be 12 weeks ((9+3)? This is not encouraging at all.

Yes. But in some cases, as was with mine, it didn't get to 9 weeks. It was just 30 days from the day the second mail came.

You might even get it before the 9 weeks elapses. Just take some chill pills bro.

Pls write a letter stating you do not want to evaluate your Bachelors, certificate was sent in error bla bla bla. Sign it and fax to them.
Enryking:
Good evening N'LANDERS,

Please, kindly avail me of a good advice on what to do and how to go about it. Truth is, I mistakenly faxed my first degree certificate along with my MSc to WES . Now, WES is holding me hostage, telling me my evaluation has been pended until I take action by sending my transcript of my first degree to them. Needless to say, my MSc transcript has already been confirmed received by them. Though, I have sent messages to them confirming that my first degree was sent to them in error and that, they should only proceed with my MSc but profile hasn't changed still . I have sent them messages three times , the second message was attended to and a status change reflected on my profile before it changed again before 24hrs. and again, after some days, a mail dropped, telling me to state if my first degree be removed but I ignored thinking since my status has changed, it will be inappropriate to send in another message so as not to hamper the progress made and also not to stoke confusion since WES stated on the dashboard that one is not expected to take any action while evaluation is in progress. Last week , I received a message that they are awaiting verification from UNILAG for my MSc but it changed again after some time insisting I send in my first degree transcript. I have thought of calling them but I don't just want to complicate the issue beyond what it is... Please I need your advise. Thanks

thanks for sharing that, it's really encouraging. Sent my transcripts and documents 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for acknowledgment email. Sent them a mail yesterday asking for an update and they told me to wait for 4 weeks

You're welcome dear.

The journey truly needs lots of patience, contrary to the "sharp sharp" ways we want things here in Naija.

WES report successfully completed. My ECA number starts with my WES ref no and ends with IMM. Hope that's how it is? I see people complaining about their numbers.

Waiting for IELTS results in less than 2 weeks.

We are moving, slow and steady, but surely.

Good morning my people.

Possible scenarios
1. Insufficient funds (make sure your account is reading upwards 72k- thats if youre paying $233 cad)
2. Youve used up your $1000 dollar banking Allowance. Try transferring the money to another card and pay from there.

Maybe a better narration of the error message will help narrow down the cause.

With the increase to $1000 monthly limit on GT Bank naira card for international transactions, the payment ought to go through. Do ensure you have a balance in excess of the required amount in your account.

Okay. Thank you

Transfer takes time... i paid for my ielts through bank transfer 2 days to cancellation... sent proof and emails to them no reply.. two days after payment, my exam booking still expired despite having made payment. I even wanted to rebook the date and pay again but The date was no longer available... i was furious I went to the bank and activated a refund. The bank said i should give them 1 week to get my money back.. i called the day after they said they were on it. To cut the long story short.. two days after i cancelled payment i got payment confirmation from ielts...nd it was for the date i had initially booked...
So if u r sure u did all the right way.. just visit the bak to knw whats delaying and keep sending ielts messages... but give or take give ur transfer 4 days from my experience.
Or better still call any ielts branch except Lagos cos they dont pick.

You don't say! Don't let me start bad talk here, lol. But I do know a handful of nationalities fall over themselves for something widely admired. Djimon Hounsou, for example, did not lock down Kimora over looks alone.

Hello All,

I have been reading this page for over two months but I didn't comment or asked any question, I simply read and learn. I discovered a lot of people ask very advance questions when they are actually in the embryonic stage of their application. So I decided that until I have the basic I will not disturb you all.

Now I am here. I checked my IELTS yesterday and it was 8.5,8.5,7.5,7.5 for LRSW. I have also commenced my ECA process but yet to get the evaluation.

Now my question is, what exactly is step by step process and what will I be needing at each step. I am the kind of person that like getting things in order before even starting.

NOTE: I used the CRS tool and my score is 441 with the result above.

I have all my cash which is sufficient in mutual funds and I am single (Lone Ranger)

I await your responses, Thank you all.

1. Obtain you ECA.
2. Submit your EE profile on CIC's website. If you have rightly calculated your CRS score, you should get 441 and easily obtain ITA
3. After obtaining ITA, submit all your docs. By now, you should know what you need. If you don't, refer to Page 1. Basically this is where you submit POF, ECA, IETLS, medicals etc.
4. Once profile submitted, you await CIC's decision on your application which can take anywhere from 1-6 months.
5. Decision can either be positive or negative.

I think passport is eligible for renewal when you have less than 6 months as you need at least 6 months to expiry to apply for most visas. But I would let others share their experiences as i didn't do mine in Nigeria but i also had about 4 months left when i renewed.

Wow! Seems we have an almost similar issue here.
Thanks so much for this info.
Please how much and how long did the renewal go for and how do I go about this CSE stuff?

My old passport was to expire Feb 3 2018 and I submitted my application Aug 1. I renewed my passport already and submitted a CSE in September to update my records.

Praise report!

Wrote the 2nd November ielts and thankfully I had:

L - 9
R - 8
W - 8
S - 7

In another world I would contest the reading and speaking, but in this world I am running with the scores as they are.

gorgebaby:

Thanks Kontagious. I remarked LSW, just to increase the chances of getting my 15k back...alas. It took 9 weeks and 3 days I think, I needed an upgrade in L actually.

My band scores were:

L - 7.5
R - 9
S - 7.5
W- 7.5

I have registered for the one after the next though and hopeful.

Na to have collection of quotes from this thread, aswear… Mental gymnastics, my chest, company’s logo tattoo, embryonic stage and of course the classic entering EE through the front door and entering PNP through the back door.

To more serious matter. Going by what you said, you basically have what you need at this stage. However, if you have stayed in any country for 6 months or more, you may want to start processing PCC for the country or countries.

I am not entirely sure what checklist for a single applicant looks like but should be something close to the quote below;
smslive2:
Supporting Documents for Primary Applicant

Passports/Travel Documents (Multiple) (required)
Marriage License/Certificate (required)
Proof of medical exam (required)
Education (diplomas/degrees) (required)
Employment Records 1 (required)
Employment Records 2 (required)
Employment Records 3 (required)
Police Certificates (Multiple) (required)
Proof of Means of Financial Support (required)
Digital photo (required)
Letter of Explanation (optional)

With IELTS dusted, ECA on the way and POF like a chairman as Santino1 and Codew0rks combined, you should be home and dry if reference letter(s) wouldn’t be a problem. Just relax and wait on your ECA, then create your profile. 441 is a decent score. ITA shouldn’t be hard to receive.

Post ITA, gather all documents, fill your e-Apr, proofread your application time and over again, then hit submit.

Post AOR; pray, fast and enjoy the wait.

Congrats on your IELTS, maxed out score.

I am so sad and disappointed

So sorry about your score. It will surely end in praise.
