Not right. Can't you read up on the company beforehand? Why do they want you to sign a contract when you do not know what job the company does? Maybe they meant to say sign before you get to know their clients? |

Is normal, if has to do with confidentiality of the company and they can sue you on that ground if you bridge it by disclosing sensitive information to a rival company. If after signing and they told you the job in details and you see you can't cope you simply them "i nor do" and carry yourself away from there. 1 Like |

chuksdsilent:im a lawyer and before we give you a seat in chambers u oathed before the commissioner for oaths and return the affidavit to us but it is surely wrong for them not to tell u what they do before you sign.The practice is to give you the appointment letter setting out the terms among which will be the signing of the confidential contracts . What you should do in this circumstance is not to sign anything until your lawyer advise you go ahead and sign. 1 Like |

Dis is nigeria, u can leave whenever u are tired, the laws never reach like dat. I once got one job like that, i signed all manner of agreements and bond. When they started misbehaving, i dropped my resignation, they called me that i cannot resign like that based on my initial agreement. chuksdsilent:i wonder how u dint manage to faintly figure out what they are into not for once throughout d whole interview phase..worst stil...not even bother to ask...b4 they whine u with u have passed.... As far as I know...it's even considered a lapse on ur part if at d final stages of the recruitment process.. U stil have had no idea who or what ur potential employers are or into.. coz they even expect u to knw from haven done background checks from whatever source. In some cases..Not having any idea who they are can even rightly serve as a criterion for ur disqualification in d recruitment process.. I advice u take d advice of others and pay a lawyer a much needed visit.. |
