IPOB has shown resilience but they need use the lessons learnt so far and evolve their strategy.

Do you know why the white Americans were forced to listen to Martin Luther king during the 1960s civil rights movement, it was because of a Mad crazy intelligent radical called Malcolm X.

There will be no Martin Luther King celebration today without Malcolm X being the scary Boogyman for White people.
Can We stop the finger pointing?
Can We stop making complaints all the time?
What do you suggest then?

Let IPOB put its people into strategic positions within the political parties. Can you imagine what would happen if House of Reps members and Senatorial seats from the SE are filled with IPOB acolytes? Wouldn't it be easier to push a bill for referendum through such the legislature?

My suggestion is simple. IPOB needs to infiltrate the system.

1) They need agents in positions of power.
2) They need to plant informants within the police and army.
3) They need to arm themselves for self-defence and self-preservation. Using peaceful protest doesn't work in Nigeria.
4) They need to start seriously lobbying international bodies behind the scenes. Hoping on automatic international support is not working.
5) They need to remove non-igbos south south groups and just focus on unifying igbos on the biafran agenda.

No it wont be easy because majority of voting power in the house and senate lies with the north. They don't want or support anything that will break Nigeria up. It was designed that way by the northern military generals who handed us our current constitution.

IJaw is not Igbo but some eastern ijaw clans have Igbo blood in them due to centuries of inter-tribal marriage.

You made lovely suggestions but lest look at these ones, there might be on going international alliance but We might not know cos it shouldn't be made public.
Do you know that some top positions in IPOB are occupied by non Igbo Biafrans, leaving them out might not be good although it'll be good if it can be done.
IPOB must not necessarily have people in political positions as the ones there now are our brothers, they must not be appeased before joining the struggle.
If IPOB get a candidate, you'll see truncated charges but now that can't work cos IPOB media is stronger than that of the FG, but what about rigging?

Even if IPOB win all seats, they can't implement any bill cos of numbers.
It'll surely be stepped down.
Even SE&SS combined can't implement a bill in the house.

Am talking about within the SE. All the houses of assemblies in the SE states, would be a good start for IPOB. By the time the IPOB candidates get to the red and green chamber, they can lobby the Northern and Western counterparts to support them. If a case for referendum can be built at regional level within the SE house of assemblies, then half of the battle is won.

The problem with IPOB acolytes, is that they do not know to build beneficial relationships, bridges, and associations with people from other ethnic groups, in order to get them to see things from their own point of view. Hate speeches and inflammatory rhetoric, cannot go far in the political world.

Having people in positions of power doesn't mean that those people openly support IPOB in public. Only in private.

Non igbos in IPOB are welcome but IPOB needs to truly win the hearts of ndigbo first because unfortunately so many igbos remain on the fence. Once they secure the hearts and minds of majority of igbos especially those with investments all over Nigeria, then they can start reaching out to south south groups.

The true reason why you still have so many igbos on the fence is that they are scared of loosing their investment. IPOB needs to find ways to hedge against that fear.

Good point but do you know that if IPOB wins governorship or any seat, part of the process of starting the position is to be sworn into office. The swearing oath requires you to pledge allegiance and defend the unity of Nigeria.

That can be a ground for the federal government to send troops to kill or arrest the senator or governor or any political leader. That's part of the reason IPOB decided to stay away from politics.

They have all it takes.
Nnamdi Kanu can easily achieve all these things with his personality.
But My problem is can they be like Nnamdi Kanu?
Will they not demand positions first?
Don't you think that's the problem IPOB are having with our leaders?
With the organogram IPOB released sometime ago, they're on point and have a very good leadership plan.
Negotiations can earn it all.

Then you are not ready to actualise Biafra. In other countries, where the move for independence was made, some of those calls were made by political leaders of those ethnic groups who were sitting officials that had pledged allegiance to the host country. When Scottish people pushed for a referendum, who brought the clamour to the forefront? Nicola Sturgeon who was a member of parliament. Didn't she pledge allegiance to Great Britain, United Kingdom and the Queen, when she was being sworn in? In Catalonia, who appointed the leader of that region?

The Parliament of Catalonia unilaterally and illegally declared independence from Spain on 27 October 2017 with a vote of 70–10, and purported to form the Catalan Republic.

Honestly I am not concerned about our current crop of leaders. They have made it clear through their actions and inactions that their interests lies with a united Nigeria. I don't want them in IPOB. Period.

The people I am concerned about are mostly those Igbos with businesses and Investment who understand where IPOB is coming from BUT are scared of openly supporting them because they think that they will loose their business and investment.

IPOB should encourage those folks to diversify their investments and to bring some back home in order to secure their hard earned wealth. This will make them less worried or scared.

True but these countries are not Nigeria. I repeat they are not Nigeria. The rule of law is not respected in Nigeria. The constitution is just for decoration here. I understand everything you layed out but this is Nigeria.

But I hope IPOB will try your strategy in the coming years lets see if Nigerian government wont start their extra-judicial pattern.

I think you have a point here.
If done this way, I'll help bring their mind to rest other than always blaming them for investing outside Igbo land.

Eastern Ijaw clans: Rivers and Bayelsa shorelines areas

Western Ijaws: Delta, Benin, Ogun and Ondo shoreline areas

They have very different dialects and some of them cannot understand each other.

Why is it that a deltan can understand igbanke and igba akiri persons language but can not understand Benin language....yet this igbanke and igba akiri is in Benin....yet if u asked a Benin what is igbanke or igba akiri he doesn't know but an Igbo man will tell u the meaning yet they call this igbanke and igba akiri Edo state....do u think if u find a Igbo name Rivers and bayelsa that its because of tribal marriage now tell me where tribal marriage has made a clan change their surname to that of a woman they married....for example JUST ANSWER ME HONESTLY CAN U FIND A YORUBA NAME IN BENIN KINGDOMhuh

First of all delta state has 5 tribes: Ijaw, Urohbo, Isoko, Igbo (anioma), Istekiri.

Out all all these groups, only the Aniomas speak and understand Igbo.

As for the Igbo akiri/ igbanke people, they are part of anioma Igbo people who were carved into Edo state during the military era state creation.

But overall I think your question is kind of confusing. I hope I answered it well.

Im an Anambra man. I watched an Igbanke movie not up to 3 weeks ago. Igbanke is in Edo state and speak the Ika-Igbo dialect of Agbor in nextdoor Delta state.

The language was tough to understand, it required careful listening , but anyone who is fluent in Igbo would understand them. There are words the say different and some sentences are in a different pitch as used in conventional Igbo but it is still Igbo with a small influence of Bini.

Exactly, they speak a dialect of Igbo with some bini influences because of their close proximity to Bini.

With that said, an Igbo man with careful listening can understand them but a Bini man will never understand what they say no matter how hard they try.

What am trying to tell u is....they used the system divide and rule....HOW CAN A WHOLE IGBO TRIBE CONSIST OF JUST FIVE STATES...AND AM HEARING A TRAIT OF IGBO IN LANGUAGE OF SOMEONE FROM BENIN...u don't carve someone out from his tribe if u weren't string to stop them fro. Achieving something.... Igbo akiri and igbanke wasn't carved out just for nothing....they where carved out to stop actualization of Biafra....so that those seeking Biafra will be lesser in number....did u know this same igboakiri and igbanke was also killed during the war....why kill them if they are not Igbo's....Biafra is not claiming the territories she didn't own....Biafra is liberating her people and trying to join them back...THOSE WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH KNOWS THOSE WHO DON'T SEES IT AS A LIE

True. That's what the main mission of IPOB should focus on for now. They need to unite igbos regardless of their geopolitical zones.

There are plenty of Edo/Benin people that bear Yoruba names. sad Take a trip to Edo state, and you would find out, especially among the Owan/Afemai people inside the state.

Secondly, there are people with different dialects even among the same ethnic group that cannot understand themselves. If an Izzi or Ezza person from Ebonyi is speaking his dialect, do you think an Onitsha man would understand him, even though both of them are Igbo? undecided
