This story is so falsified I wonder if I would have any remaining braincells left at the end of the day.

Nobody will buy anybody for 300,000$, except your punna is the key to eternal life or has the map to the fountain of youth.

The Middle East is rife with maids from Africa, Asia and prostitutes from Eastern Europe and even Thailand. My dear take this stupid ass story off of Nairaland.

Last February, on an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Addis Ababa to Lagos, I met a Muslim Yoruba lady from Ibadan (No diss intended) who was returning from Oman on the plane. She looked completely lost, and emaciated, unkempt and had this forlorn look all over her. Since she was seated on the row just beside mine, I decided to ask her what was bothering her. When she began telling me the hell she passed through in Oman, her pains and anguish were unmistakably visible on her face. She told a tale almost similar to the one here. She said Nigerian ladies were working as slaves in Oman. So, bro/sis, don't discredit the authenticity of the tale.

I have met a lot of them as well but $200,000 is just too big a lie to tell on social media. And saying Oman is easier than saying Saudi Arabia.

Nobody is talking about the agents that go about promising them heaven on Earth.

If you don't have a degree and a sponsored job do not go to the middle East and don't go stealing from your employers.

If buhari could increase npower allowance to 100k, who would think of going outside the country?

If all the money recovered on d faces of our national newspapers are used to develop the country, won't the Arab ppl see you as a first-class citizen once you get there, like we see USA citizens here in Nigeria.

God punish our heroes past and punish our current govt

N100k is too small, they should increase it to N1m

I was adamant because I know arab ppl are very wicked and heartless with stories I heard how the men in the house will rape their househelp also a story where the man of the house ask his 10yrs old boy to have sex with the house help as practise . But the agent sweettalk me sent him my pastport with picture after waiting for a month called my friend and he told me they scatter the process in Oman that is bash by bash.

And you think Nigerians are not heartless
It is only Nigerians that treat foreigners better than their own countrymen

Are the agents taking cut from the pay not Nigerians?
Are they not aware of the heartrending experiences of others while trying to lure new ones over there
If you search Nairaland, you would see stories of housemaid scalded with hot water, branded with electric iron or carved with knife
All done by Nigerian masters, mostly female
But generally we abuse foreigners when we read these stories and at other times we lambast fulani herdsmen
Fact is Nigerians are very heartless and corrupt
I am a Nigerian by the way

Sir, FG can't help beyond the policies they make. Nigerians will be Nigerians, they always think because someone else did and succeeded then they too stand a chance.
Many diaspora Nigerians who can create jobs in Nig because they see the opportunities but their business will run down by their greedy employees who see another person's investment as their own share of the money the investor made abroad.

Excellent point that should be discussed on at least 10 threads
Nigerians don't start business because the employees just want to ruin their employers
If you buy a bus, the drivers will kill you; mechanic will ground your car; shop attendant will steal genuine goods and replace them with fake,
Some employees make deal with customers to buy from another source and undercut their employer
Very sad

Greedy set of people has masked themselves as Men of God to commit crimes .. Men of God these days are greedy and only want to collect that little you have in your pocket.

It is the mentality of some greedy pastor.. Since the Word pastor is innocent but they misuse it

They have their reward on the last day except they Repent

As a Muslim, I agree with your post
Some people will see religion and tribe as the primary indicators of behaviour
The Yoruba Muslim lady you met would ordinarily be attacked as being part of the religion that oppresses people when she is easily a victim
Arabs (Muslim or Christian) are human beings - they sin and take advantage of vulnerable people who lack access to justice
My point - we are heartless when we easily accuse victims of lies

And what obtains in Oman or in the Middle East applies in nearly everywhere where human rights enforcement is weak
There is slavery even in the US!

Of course people who want to still try to make a play for Italy/ME or are part of the racket will deny the horrible things these migrants go through

This is a major reasons and attitude that's the bane of Nig entrepreneural explosion. A frightening proportion of Nig youths in every tribe and region are bad employees enemies of progress of themselves and others.

She knew she was going to work as a Maid.
She's now complaining because her employer was mean and strict.

Investing the 250,000 ++ she saved for Oman visa in Nigeria and transferring the Hard-work she put in Oman down here,
would have made her a Millionaire here in Nigeria, Probably with other persons in her employ.

A lesson learned, but she's alive and well and could have many other opportunities. (RIP to the 26 Nigerian Girls Buried in Italy today.)

We put in so much effort and hard work whenever we re out of the country, we obey the rules, Pay our Taxes and monthly Bills, We are sooo so disciplined. yet we don't do same back home in Nigeria

We should have a little more faith in our Country Nigeria

That last part of your post got to me like you have no idea. Outside the shores of Nigeria we are orderly, law abiding, contributing members of society. We come back home, to our own land, the land we will leave for our children and behave like total animals with no respect whatsoever for the law, the environment or other citizens. Never ceases to blow my mind.

For over 500 years Africans have been trafficked into slavery by Europeans and Arabs. But every generation thinks it has changed.

The Omanis were importing slaves from Zanzibar, Tanzania until the Europeans stopped them for a more sophisticated slavery called colonialism.

with 300k she can start Food Canteen, Bar Spot, Mini Importation, Trading, Laundry etc.
if person want to travel better you travel to western world.... Most countries in Middle East dont value other people life.
