Guys,

My fiance just got an ADR for proof of funds, he only submitted a single Tbillz certificate for all the money.

What documents would be appropriate to send them to clarify?

Ordered GCMS notes. Got it in 30 days.

The issue now is that it is confusing me. Why do they repeat one thing like 1 billion times?

Please any tips on how to fully digest these notes?

Lol!!!! Read the first 1-2 pages. It usually has a summary. Scroll all d way to the bottom and read the section for notes and avtivity. Read from bottom up as though you are reading twitter.
Search canadavisaforum there's a write up on how to understand it. Can't remember the link.
If you won't mind someone looking through for you, you can redact your personal info and PM to me.

6 months statement of his bank account(s) alongside reference letter from the issuing bank(s). If he had bulk sum deposits over the past 6 months, letters of explanation from him with details of bulk deposits amd why they occured and where the funds came from (and from the depositor[s] if possible) would be a very good idea.

I don't think you can claim work experience if you are on a student permit even during holidays. According to CIC
"Any period of employment during which the applicant was engaged in full time study will not be included in calculating the period of qualifying work experience (e.g. work experience gained through co-op work permits, off campus work permits while a full time student, and on campus work permits)."

For a student who had graduated from a Canadian post secondary institution, only work experience gained after graduation will count towards meeting the work experience requirement (e.g. post-graduate work permit). So, one will only qualify for CEC 1 year after graduation date.

You can check this link for more details:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/questions-answers-by-topic.asp?st=29.5.3

cc @Teds
Canadianfly:

Calm down. I too I'm claiming Canadian work experience. It doesn't matter if you have work permit before or after school. What matters is was the job FULL TIME AND PAID? Also that it didnt interfere with school, i.e. you worked in summer or when school was out. I got my work permit before I was done with school,so all full-time work I did when school was out, I'm claiming. Plus the one i did after school.
I did 5 months full time one summer and 2 years 6 months full time after school. So I'm claiming 3 years.
However in your case, part time work doesn't count because it's not up to 40 hours a week. In other words, you can only claim your 1 year Canadian work experience which is still a good 35 points since that's your actual full time work. Don't be greedy grin

Hope this helps.

Update: See below where it says "or an equal amount in part time".......maybe that part time can count, but have no idea what that line means. Or maybe that 2 years part time will be calculated as a year? Then you can claim 2 years? Research more on this yourself though

If part of the bulk deposits with six months came from his parents for example, would he need to attach a gift deed or any other document to explain??

Hello Cochtrane & All,

I'm a newbie and a silent reader, I would like to know if it's possible to be in the pool and get a job offer without IELTS with the plans to sit for the IELTS while getting to Canada.

Just curious, so I heard from a friend, He mentioned that you can get a job while in the pool without IELTS and on getting to Canada you can then sit for the exam. Also hat with the job offer alone you earn CRS worthy of 600 points which supersede the average score require for EE and with the Job offer, IELTS score of 8,7,7,7 would not necessarily matter again.

IELTS is one of the requirements. So, NO!!!

Also, job offer does not give 600 points anymore.

Try to read up by yourself and stop listening to your friend's advice as he does not seem to be knowledgeable about Express Entry.

No. It is not possible.

Are any Federal Skilled Worker immigration applicants exempt from the mandatory language test?

No, there are no exceptions to this rule. Each of the programs under Express Entry requires the submission of third-party language results. You will include the results of your test(s) in your Express Entry profile. Canada wants to assess all applicants against the same standards, no matter their language of origin, nationality or ethnicity. Even someone from an English-speaking country, who speaks English as a first language, would need to take the test. Similarly, someone from a French-speaking country, who speaks French as a first language, needs to take a test.

Hi Abbylee,

In order to put things in proper perspective, please state;
1.) Your family size.
2.) The face value of Tbills you presented, date of investment (and maybe tenor of the investment), your AOR.
3.) What amount was received as a lump sum within the last six months and when it was received. From who, family or friend.
4.) If you are to provide six months statement, will balance of subsequent months before receipt of the lump sum be significantly different to balance after the lump sum. In short, what’s the balance before the lump sum was received.
5.) How many days do you have to respond to the ADR.
