Don't let anybody mess with your RSA for any reason. PENCOM loves using companies for target practice. |

lokoventurex1:That is what I will do to Lightning Networks. An outsource company to Huawei. I worked for them for more than 2 years, they deduct tax from my salary every month with out remiting it to the government. For more than one year now I have requesting for my tax card or pin |

lokoventurex1:bros weldone there jare! I have an almost similar issue and don't know how to go about it. I worked as an Acting Manager for a sales company for about 3 months, on September 1st I was queried via mail for some reasons which I responded immediately, and on the same 1st Sept my branch was shutdown for some reason I was never told till today. After waiting for 27 days (Sept 27) for the outcome and got nothing, I decided to pen down my resignation. Now I have continued to ask for my August salary to be paid but no one seems to care. My confusion is the clause in my employment letter that says "one month in lieu blah blah" ... now since I resigned in Sept 27 without prior notice, is it wise to forfeit my August salary? |

VcStunner:Well its not a case of d clause, its due to d fact that u were queried (or where u suspended ?). U may be paid pending when your query has been resolved . Well something like this happened to one sales manager. He was given suspension / queried towards d end of February 2017. And when others received alert, he did not. So he had to visit some customers who were still owing d company (those in sales dept will know how some customers owe) and collected the money and thereafter resigned, informing d company that he will use it as his salary (his action worked for him cos he was not disturbed but yours may not be so).... SO ITS YOUR CHOICE TO WAIT OR NOT... |

Congrats to you OP and thumbs up to the lady who gave you that help.I was about to do same to my ex-employer only for the firm to remit my RSA but without the employer's contribution as required by law.I've decided to just let that go sha. |

lokoventurex1:Thank God for you my brother! but you still did not mention the name of the recruiting firm. You might not the only one engaged by that firm whose pension was not remitted. Anyway thank God you triumphed over them |

Congrats OP. We love these types of happy ending. I remember my comment on your first post: donigspain:Your previous employer (recruitment firm) knows that PENCOM and the rest don't joke with such cases. In fact, they are always eager to get such cases to use defaulting companies as target practice abi scape goat. |

I wonder the difference between recruitment firms and slave trade. I guess the ideology is the same but different methodology. Summary of both is using humans to enrich oneself. |

olabisimichael:Pension remittance is a statutory obligation employer owes to her employees. it's a simple case if you are very sure your pension was not remitted or not remitted properly. Make sure you have an evidence to back your claim. This evidences are your Retirement Savings Account statement from ur PFA, and your employment letter. This were the documents i used as attachment to pencom. Write to info@pencom.gov.ng and also copy contactcentre@pencom.gov.ng. Make sure you copy ur PFA also and ur employer. This will definitely unsettle your employer. They will do the needful and might be penalized severally by pencom. All this was possible through God and that man that had the idea, the nairaland guy that gave me the way to go about it. Many thanks bro if you read this. Thumbs up! |

donigspain:Yeah, you were one of those that reminded me of office of the public defendant and the ministry of Labour and productivity. I actually took the advise. I'd not sent any mail to OPD and the ministry of labour, but i threatened my employer with them. Many thanks for your advise. I really appreciate! |
