Tinubu held a closed meeting with the leaders of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, the Afenifere, at the residence of the leader of the organisation, Pa. Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

This is the same AFENIFERE Tinubu and his loyalists have been fighting for years. Now Tinubu is meeting with them to Strategize for 2019.

I don't see anything wrong in what he did. I have to say that Tinubu is a real seasoned political strategist. He learns from his mistakes and takes calculated risks to remain relevant. To survive for long in politics especially in a place like Nigeria, I think this is necessary. There must be an underlying purpose behind his actions. Sometimes in life you have to keep your enemies closer than your friends. And In politics, there are no permanent enemies but rather permanent interests.

Politicians will always be politicians. To remain relevant for long in politics, you have to play pragmatic politics or else you will be replaced and rendered useless. Ogun politicians will sort themselves.
