Powder worsens eela because sweat makes it sticky. Powders work better for rashes.
Hope you're applying the powder with care so the dust particles are far way from your baby?
For eela you can try the acalypha plant. Google it to see a picture. It has strong antifungal properties and she can use it for her daily baths (it stains towels and buckets sh)
Make sure the neck area is always dry by using a damp towel to wipe. If she drools, try to always clean her mouth and neck as soon as she does.

If it persists and shows no sign of letting up after 3 days, consult your doctor.
Thanks mama.. I'll go get the acalypha plant, hope I can bath her with it twice a day. I didn't know powder worsens eela and when u say far away from her u mean I should apply it on my hand first right??

Go with her birth date. Don't count using weeks. That is, she will be 3months on the 29th.

OK dear.. thanks

Dunni29:

Try cacatin cream. It works wonders

On the age calculations, actually a month has 5 weeks not 4. We normally use 4 because the 5th week mostly isn't completely 7days.
I think you should calculate your baby's age based on weeks for now till 6mths. If she was born on a Monday, then every Monday she adds a week
After the 6mths mark, calculate her age based on the date of birth, if she was born on a 23rd, every 23rd of the month, she adds a month.
This will help you with not missing her immunisations
Thanks dear.. The cacatin is it for the rashes or eela cos I've used it for rashes but it still reoccurs

Any educationist in the house? Or anyone with clear understanding of preschool thing?

Looking at my kids starting school in January so we checked around and we picked one base on recommendations from parents around us.

However, we are worried about their toddler class not wearing uniform. My neighbour said that's 'jeliosimi', yoruba literal translation for 'make house rest', I really don't like something that for them. I don't want where they just make them sleep like that. They will be 20 months old by January.

I want them to be in 24 months old class. Is this appropriate?

Please someone help.

Good evening mamas in the house. I'm new in this section, I've been following the preggy section bcus I'm still pregnant. I want you as experienced mothers to help me decide here, I'm just about to start I and LOs shopping but I'm so indecisive about babycot. I heard from different people that babies outgrow babycot very fast hence clinging to their mothers more. I want to shop for only the necessary things, im stilltrying to come to come to conclusion. Pls help mama... Is there an alternative for babycot?

Graco park and play is what I use
When you buy it and set it up there is a little bed at the top. As the child gets older, you can remove it and buy a small mattress and put just like I did
The advantages is that You can leave baby in there with toys while you do stuff around the house and you can simply fold it up and travel with it.
It does not occupy space
You can move it around easily as it has tyres (when my son was born I used to keep it in the living room and I put the mosquito net over it to prevent people from carrying him)

Got mine last year for 55k (mine has a reversible napper and changer which I took off once he outgrew it)

There are cheaper ones too

But if you don't like this one you can always get a carpenter to make a crib for you

Your bedroom? shocked
Tell me more.....
my birth story is very long
I wish I can start a diary, but I haven't summon the courage to..fear that another woman might try it and she may not be as lucky as I am,because I sometimes blame myself for the stupid act.

In short words,I invited a friend(matron) to my house and she took the delivery.

I just woke up and I’m here laying in bed, thinking about how it feels good not to be at work today. Then it dawned on me that today is thanksgiving!!! I started thinking about all I’m thankful for, and yeah! I have so much to be thankful for.

1. I’m thankful for life. That I’m still here today is not by my might but by Allah’s (SWT) mercy that kept me here. I am not pious than those who have departed and for that I am extremely grateful.

2. Thankful for family! My husband, the gift and awesomeness that is called my son, my parents, my siblings. Oh, I am thankful.

3. And most of all, the moms in this thread. Believe me, you all are the real MVP!!! From the advises, to the encouragements, to the help being rendered here to people in need, to the feel-good pick-me-ups, and even the cat fights and drama (I laugh like a hyena at times when I read some stuff here #CoversFace grin grin). You all don’t know how grateful I am to have this resource. The amount of info and education that is bandied around here for free is just priceless. I pray none of you all, your kids or families(myself including) will go missing in year 2018 and may we all be alive to celebrate more thanksgivings.

Is it threadcuties day or nah? Oh welp! I’ll still post this here. I can’t get enough of my little man. He completes me. Make una no vex, I love taking pictures of him and saving memories. grin

Such a cutie kiss

No cant be taking together its four weeks interval. I also missed mine at 6 weeks so we started the first dose at 10 weeks! Your baby has a window of till 6 months to be able to take it so the earlier you start the better so your baby can get the protection early.
