ProjectNaija:Donald Duke is a corrupt con artist. He owns Admirality towers in Ikoyi which he purchased from looted funds. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by ProjectNaija(op): 2:55pm On Aug 03, 2017 |
DutchBrah:It's the height of ignorance to assume he purchased it with looted funds. Bring out your evidence of his looting if any exists and stop this your arrogant expression of ignorance. |

ProjectNaija:You can't sell a thief like Donald Duke as a saint. We are not falling for any of the thieves in the old guard. |

DutchBrah:Just bring forth your evidence or forever hold your peace. |

ProjectNaija:You are selling a bad product brah. You can put lipstick on a pig and it will still remain a pig. |

Donald Duke is by far the best performing governor in this political dispensation to date. It will really be a disservice to the nation if he is not allowed to run for president. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by casualobserver1: 4:57pm On Nov 25, 2017 |
MrPristine:Duke is free to run, but his Vice Presidential ambitions are going to be tough to realize. His method of highly leveraged debt to finance projects will certainly be used against him. All things considered, I still wish him the best of luck. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by MrPristine: 5:03pm On Nov 25, 2017 |
casualobserver1:His ambition is to be president and not the vice. Yes some people might want to use the debt overhang of Tinapa against him but fact is that it was a very brilliant project which was capable of paying it's way but some retrogressive elements conspired to kill the project after he left as governor. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by casualobserver1: 5:10pm On Nov 25, 2017 |
MrPristine:I know he wants to go for President but with the ticket zoned to the north by PDP and Buhari planning on second term in APC it will be tough. Only way I see him clinching the top job is to settle for vice now and wait till tickets are zoned to the south to push for the Presidency. I still admire his focus on tourism during his tenure. Cross River is beautiful and he took several steps to boost the tourism industry. I think he pushed too hard with Tinapa but that is just my layman's opinion. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by MrPristine: 5:12pm On Nov 25, 2017 |
casualobserver1:PDP and APC are not the only political parties in the country. there are always other options. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by casualobserver1: 5:22pm On Nov 25, 2017 |
MrPristine:This is true, but taking that option would be dangerous. We operate a first-past-the-post electoral system and that system usually produces 2 major parties in any given contest. Breaking this duopoly is always tough. |

ucheo:tinapa is a great concept! tinapa is a great asset to cross river state succeeding administration did not know how to maximize it |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by MrPristine: 6:28pm On Nov 25, 2017 |
casualobserver1:Yes it should be tough to break the duopoly but truth is that both parties have failed Nigerians and many Nigerians will embrace another party that can capture their imagination and present itself creditably. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by ProjectNaija(op): 9:48am On Nov 27, 2017 |
baralatie:You are absolutely correct. If the succeeding administration had managed it properly, calabar would have become another dubai by now. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by MrPristine: 11:08am On Nov 27, 2017 |
ProjectNaija:Yes Tinapa was a solid master stroke, unfortunately the succeeding administration lacked the vision and the clueless Nigerian custom conspired to kill the project. I believe it can still be resuscitated though, the potentials are humongous. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by laudate: 2:24pm On Nov 27, 2017 |
MrPristine:I don't know why he was not made a Minister under GEJ. The guy has the ideas, skill and expertise to turn things around in any arm of govt. |
| Re: The Donald Duke Legacy by MrPristine: 8:41pm On Nov 27, 2017 |
laudate:Fact is that Nigerian politics is based on patronage and not competence. We need to change the narrative. |
