In Ijebuland for example, Ojo is not a traditional male name, even though it's widely used elsewhere. Ijebus use "Aina," the feminine version of the name to denote both genders.

Modupe in Yoruba means "I am thankful." The Itsekiri's equivalence is Modokpe.

guy!

There is nothing like “Mo dupe” , given that the actual breakdown of it is “Mo da Ope” I give Thanks.

Upon contraction, it should be Modope/Modokpe, not Modupe/Modukpe.

Yeah, Yoruba assimilates the ending vowel, so it will appear so. I'm guessing the reason why "mo dupe" stuck around is because it's slightly easier to pronounce.

Ogedengbe, I believe was the name of an Ijesha warrior. He was one of those that fought the Ekiti parapo war.

It's a known fact, for example the culture of the ilajes are similar to that of bini, not only ilaje almost all yoruboid group in Ondo and also itsekiri.

Those areas were at some time controlled by the binis, thou they still retain their original Yoruba language.

Dialects differ according to locations and No one Yoruba dialect is more superior to the others.
