rka2:People are not even remembering that Nigeria is not just getting Super Tucanoes but also precision guided missiles and some rocket steering kits called APKWS. Because of APKWS alone, Nigeria is buying cheaper European light choppers 2018 year in place of MI35 ($12m versus $35m). We may get back to MI35M but putting APKWS on AW109/AW139 is an amazingly accurate and cheap way to kill Boko Haram. It is revolutionary to the ORBAT and operational philosophy of the NAF that we are getting these equipment. |

bidexiii:BIDEXII , Please tell them that two of these two newly promoted Maj.Generals One MAJ. GEN. G****** spent close to two years in the N.E. was wounded seriously in action the other MAJ .GEN EZUGWU was the GOC of 7 DIV. the COAS has so much confidence in him he left him in command there even though he was a Brig .GEN at the time. It is difficult to get promoted from COLONEL TO BRIGADIER TO MAJ. GEN , you really have to prove yourself both academically, professionally, and with your peer review, also added into it is the input of the COAS himself. Some of the comments written here are ill- informed and ill advised some of these men who have been promoted have been seriously wounded in combat, it has not been disclosed to the press due to their rank, some of them have been away from their family and in the N' EAST for close to two years , some even more. I f you don't know the circumstances of these individuals , pause first because you don't know the hell some of them have been through : Some of these guys fought in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and the N'East that is three combat tours . Enough said. |
