Sophia had been talking with Dan both on the phone and in reality to his surprise. She had suggested they met at a renowned restaurant. He was dressed to the nines because of that.
"Yo bro, where are you going dressed like that?" Kunle yelled, as he took in his white dress shirt and tailored trousers.
"Oh, going to see and escort Sophia at the Hilton towers." he said, as he grabbed his blazer jacket.
"Dope, seriously you guys know that the media will link you up right? And is that what you want?"Kunle gave his friend a sorry look as he spoke.
"As long as it makes her happy I'm all for it, by the way. Where is the cooler of food, she brought yesterday?" he asked, knowing Kunle the food monger had eaten it.
"Wow, forgot that totally, the woman can cook. I hope you bring her home instead and bro when are you going to get laid?" he effectively manipulated the topic.
"Soon, just giving her some time, and I'm not sharing. Maybe her food definitely not her." he said warning his player friend. Kunle chuckled at his defensive stance, Dan was head over heels in love with the woman. He couldn't blame him, Sophia was the best he had seen so far, gentle, caring, hardworking and damn sexy. He wished he had her to himself but his bro could have her instead, the guy should settle down abeg.
"Okay but I don't mind marrying her, if you guys don't work out." Kunle teased. Dan bristled and eyed him,he his eyes ablaze.
"I already warned you." he said.
"But Sophia deserves someone who would marry her, cherish her and of course stick with her to the end. I quote her." he said, as he paced around in the apartment. He leaned on the wall as he watched Dat's reactions.
"You said that you aren't ready to be tied down into marriage yet." Kunle goaded him, Dan was already flustered. He was swearing to himself.
"Darn, I just discovered something right. I hit a soft spot didn't I? You thought she'd be for the live in girlfriend, she comes from a prestigious home Dan and she has her pride. So what do you actually want from her?" Kunle said, as he walked back to his room without a second glance.
All the events of the month weaved its way into Dan's memory, he was practically eating out of her hands, he had consulted her during his financial investment and shares meeting and she had been an awesome help. Now he could point out two or three cash cow investment he had without even going to the studio.
She was well not so perfect either too, she had a flaring temper and she hadn't yet recognized her self worth but she had a good heart and she tried to protect it. He wouldn't blame her, he would protect his own heart from himself, if he were in her shoes.
His driver came in, at that moment and Dan had to go with him.

"Yea! You're here." Sophia hugged him, he looked so handsome and he had cut his hair again. She grew jealous as her short hair refused to sprout an inch, but his giving two weeks could compete for the fullest afro.
"Yea! Look at me." he said, mimicking her, as they both laughed, they were at the red carpet alongside many celebrities and stars. The BET awards had decided to host a small show here in Lagos Nigeria. And Sophia was nominated for influential black fashion entertainer of the year.
She wore her design, it was a long sleeve silver and blue, backless dress made out of aso oke and Ankara. She wore a matching choker and made her hair into dyed corn rows with cowries attached at the end. She also wore a pair of dyed blue cowrie earrings.
"You look gorgeous." he said, as he held her hand, Sophia blushed and looked away before she adjusted his blue Ankara bowtie and matching waistcoat.
"So who is on the media's focus?" he asked as they tried to sneak past Denrele Edun, who was the host talking vividly.
"Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva." she said, as cameras started flashing at them, she quickly smiled and waved as Denrele the eccentric one, as she used to call him walked over to them.
"Aww, so sorry about us not getting away."Dan said, smiling broadly at the weird man.
"You guys think you can escape abi? Anyway good to see the both of you together, man you have an impeccable taste." he commented slyly.
Dan gave a full on grin, Sophia tried to cover her face with the feather fan she held.
"Look at you, Sophie you look ravishing, one of your designs right?" he concluded as more cameras continued flashing, more lights.
"Right." she bit her lips from giggling.
"Okay, Dan now tell me what I'm seeing here, cause right now, you guys are just making me curious. Why on earth would you steal my girl?" Denrele said, as he hugged Sophia.
Dan shook his head and smirked, before pulling her back to him.
"I won't say anything yet though. So how's the night?" he asked as more newscasters rallied around them.
"Fine, I really think that this had better head to the altar, don't you think so too, Sophia?" he asked, Sophia gave him a playful glare and looked up at Dan smiling down at her.

Sophia walked down the carpet greeting both national and international stars, Gina was there with Matthew, they hugged and joked, Dan also had a nice chat with Matthew and she saw the knowing wink he sent her.
They were approaching the host and hostess, Kanye and Kim K wondering how they got that part despite Kim's expressed dislike for Nigeria was one thing Sophia would be doing.
Dan held her tightly, because of the look of appraisal she received from the both of them.
"Did you get them?" Kim asked.
"No, mine are natural, I was born with it." she said smiling a little, her intense dislike was almost obvious, but Kim didn't notice.
"Really, cause they really blend into you." Kanye said, Dan almost drew her back from his hungry gaze.
"Thanks, but we have to go now, shouldn't we darling?" Dan said possessively, as he held her arm and they left the power couple to greet other guests.
"God, did you see how they watched us, bet Kanye is going to rap about it in his new song, that guy can rant." Sophia whispered as they walked into the hall. They greeted so many stars from South Africa, Algeria, Mozambique, sierra Leone, Cameroun, Ghana, Ethiopia, every of the 54 African country entertainers were present.
They were ushered to their seats, and after some minutes the show began, performances at every stop and turn and Sophia was already exhausted before her award nomination, but she had won and Dan kissed her when she got back to her seat, and photographers were everywhere on them.
She managed to make it home in one piece after Dan elicited a promise to see him the next day she was just too tired to hear him out.

Thank you so much for your encouragement and so many others. Although I'll still like to thank PamelB and many others for sharing my story and everyone for reading. You guys infact you are too much. I'm blessed writing here. Sorry the interview can't take place, I feel disappointed about that myself, but you can still ask questions sha and make suggestions.
Chapter 12
The loud sound of the continuous whirling of a sewing machine cut off all the noise in the room, Sophia's head was bent as she adjusted the needle.
"Brrrr." the machine went on as she continued sowing, she was absorbed in the rhythmic movement of the needle to her changing the position of the cloth.
She didn't hear, when the door of her office burst open. But what she did hear was the clicking heels, no one wore heels to work on Fridays at the Nikkin. She lifted her eyes and her eyes met with a young averaged height lady with red dyed hair. They stared at each other, the lady had a look of contempt, on her fair face she was solidly masked by professional makeup. She wore a short red dress and designer accessories.
"Good afternoon, but I think you are in the wrong department, this department is for male outfits ma'am." Sophia said politely, thinking she was a customer that missed her way.
"Good afternoon, I'm not here to do business, but I'm here to see you, this two timing tart." Sophia was taken aback as the lady pointed a talon like nail at her as she spoke.
"You think you are so clever, that you can take my husband from me." at that Sophia stood up, and started thinking of any husbands she had snatched.
"Ma'am with all due respect I have no idea what you are saying." she said, standing close to her desk, the woman looked really desperate though. And desperate is dangerous too.
"Oh pretender Holy Mary Amaka, abi be pretending, look Dan would just dump you.I'm Mrs. Ani and I have four children for him, three girls and a son. He is their father, look at me well if I ever see you with him. You'll see pepper, useless thing." the lady raved angrily, her claws flashing every second as if she would cut off Sophia's face and her face was contorted to resemble an ugly vulture with a lot of makeup.
Sophia smelt desperation, deceit, and jealously written over her. Even her cologne was an off cloying scent, she smelt cheap and Sophia had better things to do today.
"Excuse me then. I have nothing to say to you." she said, as she pointed to the door.
"You this cheap rat, so you are afraid to fight abi? Are you feel that you are too big, too famous to let me tell you, you are nothing but a LovePeddler in gold clothes, you just sold yourself out." Sophia gave her a cool look and the girl got more pissed before she launched a slap at Sophia.
Sophia was stunned as she held her cheeks, she felt like sending the girl to a hell of beating, how dare she, but instead to her own amazement she looked down at the girl and laughed.
The girl's face was filled with fear now, she too was surprised is not everyone you slap like that, that laughs.
"So you'll think I'll stoop so low to your level, you don't realise that while you are here picking a fight, your mates are there making millions. God saved your life that I've vowed never to fight over any man again or else, you'll know that khaki no be leather, infact the nose is far from the forehead.
How dare you? But you know what I don't blame you, I blame this circumstance and your stupid parents for not training you or maybe it isn't them, maybe its you that decided to take this path to destruction, well sincerely I don't care, you have decided to waste your destiny, I won't let you waste mine. Get out before I pounce on you, shameless girl!!!!" Sophia screamed at her,and the girl scurrying like a mouse ran out with tears in her eyes. She had started crying even before Sophia sent her out.
"What went wrong?" Boma came in, just as the girl ran out, but Sophia's red eyes kept him shut as he whispered his apologies and left.
Sophia buried her head and cried, she didn't care that she was crying on the uniform for the National Rotary Club president, she just wept asking anything around her to help her.
Now she couldn't describe how she felt, before she didn't care about Dan, his music or him, but after that night, well things had changed, then he came back with blackmail, she had locked him out, now all these and she was afraid that in her heart of hearts that she was falling for Dan.
"Oh No why should it be Dan? Why?" she said, sobbing and sniffing, she was going to show the world that she could as well cope without Dan. She couldn't stand the nonsense all over again. Infact it was bye bye Dan time.

Dan picked up his phone and tried calling the number, but it kept on giving excuses from switched off to not available to not responding and the lots.
He was pissed off as he walked around the living room. Kunle was eating noodles and watching UEFA, while sneaking a look at him.
"Arrgh, what's wrong with all these networks nah? Oh! I can't calls someone in peace again." Dan said, as he sat and kicked his legs angrily.
"Stop acting like a spoilt boy Dan, what is the problem?" Kunle asked as Dan looked at the air glumly.
"I've been trying to contact Sophia so we can go out, but I've not gotten to her, there are always excuse from all the phone networks." Dan complained angrily, folding his hands across his chest.
"If all the networks act the same way, my guy your village people aren't far then."Kunle said, as he almost choked on his food as he laughed.
"Abeg leave them for the village, they should sit there. But on a serious note what can I do? I have to see her." Dan said, as he ran his hands over his hair. He had styled it with a star cut into it.
"Then go to her house abeg? Do they tell someone that?" Kunle gave him a serious look. And then went back to the match.
Dan stood and got dressed, he knew she lived with her parents, so he took his time to dress well, a pair of black fitted trousers and the Hollandiase made shirt embroidered by Sophia herself. The lion embroidery made the cloth stand out, Sophia said he looked like her Ibo townsman. He grinned as he remembered her enthusiasm while he was reluctant to wear it.
After wearing a suede loafers and a gold watch, he ditched his ear piercings. Sophia had an intense dislike for them,and he guessed it was rooted from her parents.
His mom was even against it, but later she just left him to himself. But she continued praying, he knew that.
He ignored Kunle's knowing smirk and went to take his car, he picked the Mazda, his small favorite.
When he got into the estate where she lived, he was awed at the amount of wealth or rather display of wealth there. He saw exotic gardens with finely carved statues, fountains and a house made out of pure white marble and glass.
He finally moved to her place, he saw the modest building and was humbled despite the extravagant display, it seems her father was a content man others would have rebuilt theirs to surpass or compete with their neighbours but he chose a humble structure.
He got down, and the gateman looked at him.
"Oga afternoon wetin you want?" the man asked, eyeing him with caution.
"I'm here to see Sophia. My name is Dan Ani." the gateman eyes widened as he removed his sunglasses. His jaw slacked and he quickly shut it, he excused himself almost bowing to tell the inhabitants of the home his arrival.
A minute later, the gate was wide open, Dan took it as a cue, so he drove in, he was hit by how spacious the compound was. Two boys were playing football while a little boy watched them. They were watched closely by an old couple, Dan could guess that they were her parents. As he got down and drew closer to them, Chris sighted him and ran to hug him, squealing Daddy! Dan felt happy to see him and wished he brought a gift along.
"How are you Chris?" he asked as he carried him on his shoulders.
"I'm fine thank you and you?" Chris said in a female mimic voice.
"Where did you learn that one now?" he asked as they moved to the couple, their faces were expressionless.
"Good afternoon sir, Good afternoon ma." he dropped Chris and prostrated. Their eyes widened as they saw the resemblance of Chris on him and they put two and two together meaning he was Chris estranged father.
"Welcome my son." the old lady said, as she motioned for one of the boys to bring a chair for him. They were in the garden decorated by hibiscus shrubs.
The old man nodded at him,he as he chewed his cola. He didn't even spare him a glance. Dan was shivering despite Chris hugging and searching his body for things to play with.
"Bia here, Chisom, get your brother something, my dear what do you want?" she asked smiling brightly, and Dan almost swooned at it, it seems beauty was in the family. She looked so young.
"Ma'am nothing, I'm fine." he said, as he looked at the old man who was still chewing like he had no care in the world.
"Okay, are you sure, because you must be parched, harmattan is in the air now so let me get you something." she stood smiling and left, Dan was amazed well he wasn't that amazed Amaka was a complete copy of her mom though she had her father's characters.
"So what are you doing here hmm? You want to take my grandson from me abi? Mbanu over my dead body tuofia. You this boy that turned my daughter's life upside down because of you she has spent more part of her life weeping. You turned my daughter against me. Get out of my house. Stand up and get out of my house." the man said angrily. Dan was shocked, he was so embarrassed that as he made to leave he didn't notice Amaka running to them. He left angrily.

I must say u re a wonderful cook, it's really satisfying. Keep it up, SOPHIA pls don't allow Dan to get u easily this one dat he is already kissing u
