Mummies please my boy is 10 months old and he has refused to eat anyrhing 4 almost 2weeks now i started with nan later(6months) i gave him cerealac till date but since he refuse taking his food i hv tried noodles, rice he will just remove it from his mouth n throw away

Take him to the hospital and let them check his tonsils!
If they are inflamed, he won't eat.

Whenever my son rejects food like crazy, and I take him to the hospital they always check his throat first to see how his tonsils are

It will dry up on its own. If you pressed it out you are telling your brain that you are still breastfeeding. Try and get cabbage leave and place enough on your breast. Wear firm bra too, you can take para if the pain becomes too much.

Thank you.

Hello mamas.
I see and acknowledge all mentions.
Thank you all.

All through MHC, Muna was acting up, throwing every thing she ate up.
Just after MHC, she started running temperature.
Gave her pcm, the temp went down ,some minutes later, she threw it up and the temp went up again.
Gave her some few minutes, oya eat yam and egg. She slept for a long time, with a high temp, kept mopping with damp towel. At a point I had to wrap her head to toe in a wet towel. She kept throwing up all the drugs I gave her.
By 10pm, I called the dad (he was downstairs) let's go to the hospital, so he ate and changed and we set off for Gbaja at around 10.45pm. Got there and we had to go and buy a card seeing as this was the first time she was seeing a doctor. Card was taken to the Nurse's station. Around 11.50pm I saw a known Paed leaving the consultation room, fully dressed for home. I went to the nurse's to ask why we weren't called up. She said they've been calling us and we refused to answer...... Me that was on a watch out o. My husband was like.... Are they alright sha?
Nurse found out Paed had gone, she comes back to their station and drops our file on the table like..... I don't care. She goes into a room, turns on the fan and I guess she went to sleep. You're on night duty and you're snoozing by 12.15am?
Na so I vex, carry MD phone number written on the wall, called MD. Told her all I'd done to stabilize my child from home and how her temp was spiking again because of the stress. How the nurse was nonchalant in her attitude. MD said I should carry my phone to the nurse. I knock tire, nurse don sleep go. MD said I should look for any hospital staff and give the phone to them, just then, another Paed walked into the emergency unit. Her eyes are red from sleep and I give the phone to her. MD speaks with her and she treats Muna.
We were given mosquito bites in our bonbom, 3 sef embarassed (I don't know why I just don't want to call injection for her) and we got home around 1.20am. Moyo was the only one at home, asleep.
All the nurse had to do was call the Paed via intercom that a patient needed to be attended to OR is it only when I run in unclad with a child in my arms and me screaming for help while crying like a banshee that I will be regarded as emergency?

We all want change but it really begins with you.
Look at the man in the mirror and tell him to change.
Change his attitude to work.
Someone once told me its called 'work' because it's for you to actually stress yourself and get out of your comfort zone.
When you go to work, do so with the intent of coming back home tired. You can't work and mise your energy....
I know medical personnels don't have it easy: understaffed and overwhelmed with patients but it's still your job to answer the patients as long as they're coming in. What will you do when there's a crisis like a really huge fire outbreak, a storm or serious flooding or a natural disaster? Will you fold? angry

Big sigh.....

Muna is better now. Using her drugs and playing rough play already (tumbled with her bike on the stairs this afternoon, fought with her brother just before she slept off grin)

Let me sleep the remainder of my sleep from last night.

Just came online. Thank God she is fine. Our Children will continually live healthy & we will never mourn over them.

spiceeamiee as selfish as this sounds I'm just grateful your little one is fine!

The story though sad is "common place" and just a result of the decay in our systems as a nation. We will do a full 360 degrees of the blame game if we start - the government : poor funding, inadequate staffing, corruption etc etc , the staff themselves who despite thier knowing these are human lives at stakes typically behave like they have no blood running in them with thier vile behavior and ineptitude!!! We the people too who keep voting shit heads and refusing to speak up and make a difference even in our little corners!

I've tasted medical treatment abroad my people the difference is clear! My mum fell ill during a visit to the UK- ambulance was Called, she was admitted and treated no less than a citizen all at no cost!!!! The one I got my self was so wow if not for the financial implications I'm tempted to have another baby!

Even some private facilities here are just *%^*+* SMH

God help this country! I'm

18kg!!!! Mama you are right at the end of the size scale.

Most cloth nappies are sized to fit up to 40lbs or 18kg. As that is the size of a typical 3 -4 year old and most babies should have been potty trained by that age. (we understand there may be exceptions)

Although what we have at Mima Bear will fit up to 18kg. We usually say up 35+ lbs or 15+ kg As we want to provide you with a product that you get value and a significant amount of use from.

Also, Whilst the weight is one determinant, the shape of the baby matters a lot.
You can have a shorter and chubbier baby, the same weight with a taller , Lankier baby. So whilst you may struggle to get the nappy on the chubbier one, it will be absolutely fine on the slimmer one.

For toddlers
We will be having a small number of toddler sized prefolds and some bamboo flats that would fit a toddler. but we will need to check the covers to ensure the size first for him.
The is also one of our All-in-ones which is cut a bit more generously and would be ideal for a bigger baby.

Can you take a snug measurement of his waist, where his current nappy sits

and

also the rise, from the top line of his nappy from front to back - between his legs.

This will help me check if what we have will fit.

You can check our instagram and facebook pages for pictures.

@MimaBearNappies

Thanks for the break down mama! I've already placed an order (don't even know if it will fit him undecided) I wish i saw this before though.
