I really don't have much pity for these set of ppl; considering they have been warned endlessly about the risks and horrors of such trips; the bleak prospects of attaining a successful life in Europe; and most importantly, the money they raise for such passage, running into hundreds of thousands (borrowed or otherwise) is often more than enough for them to start a good business here in Nigeria, but will refuse to listen - its their bed; they knowingly made it, so let them lie in it - I only regret the unnecessary loss of life.

Arabs are terrible people.
Blaming Obama for this is wrong. It is already in the nature of arabs to be wicked to other Africans.

I hope Isreal keep pounding them to the dust.

This is a very good question I have asked myself, why haven't the Libyans, Morrocans, Tunisians, Algerians and Egyptians all ran away to Europe like black Africans when they are just a stone throw away from Europe.
Germany to block asylum seekers from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfxQo8JqD7s
Arabs come through short cut route i.e sea through Greece but no one talks about them instead they get sympathy.
For your information Arabs are more in Europe seeking asylum than our Africans brothers snd sisters. Talk of Moroccans,Egyptians,Libyans, Iraq,Syrians.
In 2015 in Sweden with a population of 9 million 51,000 syrians,41,000 afghans,21,000 Iraqis,7,000 Eritreans,5,000 Somalis,466 Nigerians came to seek Asylum so do the Mathematics.

Why do Africans fall for such cheap propaganda? FFK is playing with your minds. The policeman's shoulder clearly shows Iraqi map. Where did Libya come from?

So why didnt Trump continue funding iSIs since its an American policy , for your info all the hillary backed hawks in the Saudi royal family responsible for backing ISIS and the yemeni imbroglio are all now in prison courtesy the US backed silent purge in Saudi royal family some week ago
Dear Salam, your ignorance is renowned on this forum therefore I won't dwell too long with you on this matter.

Obama funding ISIS...Hillary funded by the Saudi hawks etc are standard dishes on freak right wing sites like; infowars, breitbart, sputnik, russiatoday and dailystormer et al. If those are the places you get served your daily dishes of alternate news (my euphemism for fake news), bon apetit!

This is all a fallout of Obamas bad policies in Libya but black people still think Obama was the best thing to happen to the black race while in reality he was the worst ..
This is a result of usa & eu invasion of Libya to over throw Gaddafi and steal Libya's oil angry
Now both Libyans and other Africans are getting the pain angry
African leaders need to stand up to usa and Europe's bullying & forceful entrapment ......................... cheesy

What better environment ? where is the better environment ? Try and sit down with one of these people and you'll just find out how much damage this continent and country has done to her people's dignity and self respect. You have no idea what folks are going through emotionally ,psychologically and mentally until you find yourself in their shoes , have a little taste of their world or experience it even in your comfortable corner.

African countries/Government/Leaders have failed their people and it's not just everyone that has what it takes to survive the ordeal - Many have made irrational decisions and paid the ultimate price - They deserve our compassion because it is simple : No animal how much more a human will leave a comfort zone to risk it all even when they are aware of the price to pay for it. Brother ,it is called FRUSTRATION , EMPTINESS , THEY SEE NO FUTURE and many will go this way until we clean up our own house with our hands.
Is it worse in terms of losing your freedom and being a slave, Beaten to death, drowning, burning to death, stabbed to death, auction to slavery till death, being raped, starved, injured, shot, starved, punished by horrible means...?

I beg to disagree. Because Atleast the migrants were free to even leave Nigeria when they wanted and how, they had there life, money, health and will or right to visit anywhere. Today they have none and are victims. They can't come back freely, they have lost what money they have to smugglers, they have lost their dignity or being abused. Some are never coming back cos they are dead and can't even have a decent burial rite...I think my brother you have a rethink.

No matter the issue we face here there is no comparison to the horror, loss, risk or dangers migrants suffer. What God Almighty has given you, us here despite the situation is a million times better.

And then they act like it's such an alien concept to expect the illegal migrants not to be killed or tortured or sold into slavery.
Dont get me wrong. I am not condoning or encouraging illegal immigration in any form. But the treatment they got doesn't measure up to their supposed crime. What they suffered is barbarism in one of its highest form. If you are bent on discouraging them from making the journey, jail or deport them.

We are still saying the same thing

Does it come off as if I'm condoning illegal migration?

What effort has he made to make Nigeria better? He was part of the few that had opportunities and made this country worse than they met it.He and his cohorts that bastardized this nation should shut their dirty mouth up.How many of their children are involved?. They use our common resources to keep their own children in heavens abroad, and allows us to wallow in abject poverty to an extent of submitting to slavery in other African country. God will judge the death of all that died both home and abroad as a result of useless leaders and their actions on all their children. AMEN.
