Re-look, slowly, Chkil's original post, your post, my post.
To re-iterate: the Nigerian Army could have itself of all those variants you admired on the Turkish vehicle when they bought REVA APCs, which come in even more variants. NA doctrine or their needs at the time militated against that.
In simple terms, they are not going to forgo the opportunity to acquire those capabilities if they need them when transacting with an established supplier, for an untested platform that they're still evaluating. They're far more professional for that.

"Ambulance and crossing bridges"?
Where do you see that? A wheeled APC with bridge-laying equipment?
Now that's an engineering feat I'd love to see.
I feel it's something needed in the NE. The problem could have been funds. If we had to get a MRAP equipped with sensors, it will cost more and moreover getting hit by an IED means waste of money.

Any which way, If we had gotten our REVA in such configuration, it would have been a game changer in the NE+ a motion sensor.

I admire the paint scheme. Simple and attractive.

DHQ however loves having its vehicles in CAMO Now.

That's just it. Since when has a manufacturer ever specified to a buyer what camo scheme to adopt?
Curiouser and curiouser...

If it was an European country, or NATO member will France consider a military action?

AU, only has to be blamed for not being able to mandate it's member to stop the slave trade within a given period of time and if such isn't done, then they can consider a military section.

Nigerian government should be blamed.according to a report, most of them are Nigerians, and AU cannot make any concrete move in the continent without her blessings.what a failure.

You're going ad hominem albeit in a roundabout way by attacking my sources, which btw, isn't appreciated. Here's my source on the black Nazis earlier,Veronica Clark:
https://www.amazon.com/Black-Nazis-Veronica-Clark/dp/1934703516
I do think Frummie's boy,Maseko was a chump, but with hindsight he can be forgiven.
The authors Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams who revealed the homo roots of the Nazi Elite and the accompanying pathologies in their mid 90s book,The Pink Swastika have a huge list of acknowledgements for their work thanking surviving Germans, psychiatrists,Nazi officials, original German police archivists and a host of other primary source material. Iow,they talked to those who lived it.
....
http://www.thepinkswastika.com/6901/6943.html
If you disagree fine but don't claim I pulled my sources out of my arse! Pls give me your REPUTABLE sources revealing how armies are enriched by the presence of homos, thanks.
The fact that there might of been a handful of black nazis was never the problem, it was the fact that you actually claimed the Nazis were actually good to black people that was the problem.

Lastly I never said allowing gay people to join the army has any impact on there combat effectiveness, Ill say it one more time: Being gay or not has no impact on your combat effectiveness.

And here are my sources:

US military, Israeli military, German military, French Military, Japanese military, Korean military, her majesty's armed forces, Russian military, etc etc etc.

The 90% of the worlds most powerful militaries allow gays to join, that is surely enough proof that being gay or not doesn't effect combat effectiveness

hope they do so.Modern day slavery or racial discrimination shouldn't be allowed in africa. What worries me,is the silence of our "DEAR" president.
Bros, you should be more worried about the gross stuupidity of those adult fools who walked with their own two legs into a well publicized Ghadaffi land 7 year long Libyan civil war danger with their two koro koro eyes wide open. Why did you and me too not walk into Libya, or we dont like better life in foreign lands? Why do black people like to look for solutions at the tree top of problems and not the root? The root cause of this salve trade is the lack of common sense of our own brothers here now, why blame a president who has myriads of national problems to solve at home?

In my mind I am imagining SBS commandos storming those auction houses in Libya huh
Your SBS commandos may die cheap in Libya. Why do you want to make 1,000 new fatherless children and widows in navy barracks at Ojo Satellite town just because some 25 to 45 year old educated adult fools intentionally jumped inside lions den in the name of looking for greener pastures? The whole world has been reading Libya disaster since 10 years ago when they first began to rrape our women and rob our men even before Ghadaffi lost control. Those who want to risk their lives for fools can go rescue them. USA refused to rescue its citizens who deliberately walk into danger overseas. Any adult who open eye enter war zone deserves to become war victim or war slave, that is the only way people will learn to use common sense in their adult life. Dont send SBS to go die for fools and navy town come full of widows and fatherless kids.

Depends on Nigerian Army doctrine and what they want, surely?
After all, they bought REVA APCs and didn't avail themselves of all these other variants:
holy sh*t frum @6th pic is that what I think it is.

Artillery on mobility cheesy
Long range 60, 81/2, 120mm mortar and 105 RCL can all be mounted on the REVA. All options that ICP offers - and mounted on Thailand's REVAs - that the Nigerian Army could've got if they wanted them when they bought REVAs. They bought REVA 3 & 5 in APC and ambulance variants for whatever reason.

But my whole point was it's unrealistic fanboyism to expect them to sink funds into Proforce ARA to produce such variants on an unproven platform still under assessment - based on pics of the Turkish Tirpi - when they passed on those options whilst buying REVAs.

Even though one could quibble REVAs were acquired absent an open tender process, my professional colleagues in the NA resisted political blandishments knew their doctrine and selected accordingly.

Far be it for me to prescribe, but one develops doctrine first. Only then does one equip one's military.
Any other way and it's open to caprice, with service-men and women in body bags.

Eland inspection and routine maintenance, late '80s. The engine on the latest Elands could be swapped out in forty minutes or less.

I just got Steenkamp and Heitman's book, Mobility Conquers: The Story of 61 Mechanised Battalion Group and what a smashing read it's been so far. There are some fascinating stories in there - like the one about the Eland which suffered an engine failure during Protea and was repaired while in motion (it was being towed by a Ratel).

Not really different variants like that. I am talking about arming proforce ARA with multiple configurations of turrets and sensors.

Enough firepower to make BHT run just by sighting it. Heard those guys hate the sound of those shilka.
maybe we should start thinking of a post-BH era... BH won't be around for much longer.
