before mobile phone (gsm) came to nigeria, it was in ghana already.. Ghana started Electronic data capturing of foreigners, my country nigeria recently started.. The day I left ghana, I exited electronically(my passport was placed in a device).. At aflao border... Coming to nigeria( seme border), I was manually registered (I can understand as a Nigerian) but A white foreigner with nigerian resident permit was registered manually.. Note: ofcourse, this technology is in airports.. ATM, ghana started... Mobile banking , ghana started.. Prepaid and digital postpaid meter, during the time ghana went electronical in goods clearing, my brother in customs were using manuals.. But I am open to a debate where you think we started..

If you look at IT, banking, ghana started 1st but today nigeria is ahead.. This is where I respect Nigeria

Nigeria suffered lots of set backs due to military rule. Unlike ghana they were d pioneers of democracy which brought change.. There was new implementation, new technology, lots of try and errors...

don't be hype with such picture, I have been to Ghana twice and I can tell you that all the pics the op use re the beautiful places in Accra, Accra is just as neat as abuja because it's the capital of Ghana.
But seriously Nigeria controls their economy and that's why things re expensive in Accra.
I ate indomie worth of 8cedi 50pesowas(850naira) for two superpack of indomie and 1 egg.
They have constant light like ivory coast and when u go to Kumasi, it's not beautiful like the country's capital.
Presidential lodge is at the road side, very open and very close to Accra mall or Lagos avenue.

The largest mall in west africa is not just West Hill malls. Novare Lekki Mall in Nigeria and Marina Mall, kumasi city mall in Ghana are also in same category

We often think it's greener on the other side which is not so most time.

If not for the issue of our epileptic power supply, corruption and other lack of basic amenities, Nigeria should be toe to toe with south Africa and some European countries in terms of infrastructure or even far better

I don't know where OP decided that things are cheap or value for money in Ghana - they are not.

Everything costs at least 50% more in Ghana.

Medicine that costs 1500 in Nigeria costs the equivalent of 10k in Ghana. Even the price at MMIA is cheaper.

Even Ghanaian kente cloth is cheaper in Lagos than Accra.

Electricity tariffs are at least double.

Water costs more. The food that your gateman will buy costs three to four times as much as what your gateman will pay in Nigeria.

And they don't have 24 hours electricity, the situation is better than Nigeria but they do have to run generator for roughly 10 hours a week, probably more during the dry season.

Driving in Ghana is a less stressful experience, but again, Accra does not have as many good roads as Abuja, Lagos, Kano or even smaller cities such as Calabar or Uyo. Which means that while there are fewer cars the traffic can become a real nuisance, especially on Liberation Road and Spintex. There are fewer slip roads and link roads, the ones that exist are often not tarred. For an example, anyone in Accra - drive from the Koala end of Oxford Street drive towards the Vodafone office, at which point turn right. Drive 50 metres down that road and you will come onto a dirt road. This is Osu, central Accra that I'm talking about for those unfamiliar.

Speaking of Vodafone, their service is poor. Phone calls are just about passable but their internet service is frequently awful. The only other option is MTN, friends tell me that they are worse. And that is another advantage to Nigeria - there are more options when it comes to telecommunications. Once again, they are cheaper.

Ghana has its advantages for sure - primarily that it's a smaller, more manageable country and thus a calmer society. The electricity situation is better but not perfect. There is no northern elite steering the country in the wrong direction at every juncture and hiding behind the Quran and 'tradition' to justify nonsense, such as child marriage. And they don't have a coupist masquerading as a democrat.

20. There's a church beside the hotel i stayed, on sunday while they were having there church service, i didn't hear a thing, i just saw people gushing out at the end of the service.

21. And social life is top notch, as they play life performance more that they use DJ's, you'd see a family go up to the stage to dance their sorrow away around 1am.

Summarily, my opinion is that Ghana is generally a better place than Nigeria , The People are friendlier and it much safer to move around even at the local markets. The crime rate is better .Nigeria could have been easy as well but owing to its population and fierce competition.
You may notice even foreigners taking public transport in Ghana but that would be difficult in Nigeria.

When it comes to cost of living there is no big difference and one positive thing in Ghana it easy to save money by going local i.e Local foods,Local markets etc.

Hmm, u don't know anything about Ghana. When it rains in Accra (Circle, Graphic road, Abosey okai, laterbiokorshie) na big flood.

Also I go to church on Sunday, just the same like Nigeria.
Some part of Accra is more dirtiest than Ajegunle.

Civil Discipline and adherence to law and order here is top notch, the police force is alot more civil. Cases where the police would alt our vehicle and talk to use like responsible individuals cannot be over-emphasized. Questions like "May i know why you don't have a shoe on while driving sire?" They know there job, its not a matter of bribe, its a matter of law.

9. The public transport system here is also classy, i saw corolla sport being used as taxi so many times, matrix is a very popular taxi too, the cars are neat and in good condition.

10. The drivers in Ghana are just more civil, an exact opposite from what obtains in Nigeria. I was shocked when i got to an idle road and saw cars park to respect the traffic light, i looked right and left in search of a policeman to no avail, knowing fully well that even with a barrack, Nigerians don't respect traffic lights, most especially when no one is there to enforce the law.

They were all calm and waited till the green light before they all continued moving slowly towards the next stop.

11. The streets are very clean as well. You'll most definitely start seeing companies you once saw in Nigeria, but left due to the Nigerian situation, you'll find a lot of them in GH.

Light in my house not constant but they are areas in my city dat boast of 20 hours a day light, and My road is very motorable as the state government have done my link road why the Federal road has also been done by the Federal government, NDDC too had done d street dat link to my area and we also do contribute money to maintain our Street and adjoining Street yearly to make it motorable

Security is 90%, each time we start having disturbance of armrobbers the police always comes in to raid and fish those robber out, so security is guaranteed

Having a peaceful area is in the hands of the occupants of such neighborhood, we all have a responsibility, and my area don't wait for government when they is a major challenge in the neighborhood
