hehee...someone said Nigeria will win the world cup. well to me the Word Cup 2018 groups looks alittle bit easy as no group can be termed the Group of death like we normally have before.

For those counting Ivan Rakitic as a threat in Croatia against Nigeria, I say well done. That dude is one hell of a mess to happen to Barcelona. I would tip Kovacic over him to excel in the world cup.

That said, our group is a very technical one. We just need more wins than draws and we should be good. Another department to worry over is in between the goal post. Akpeyi/Ezenwa might not exhibit the proper confidence needed to cause the likes of Leon Balogun and Co to relax when they flop, rather than panic over and over again because of the goalie.

I just pray injury plague key Argentina players (Aguero, Di Maria, Mascherano, and Dylan) alongside Kovacic and Modric angry

And the surprising thing is that iceland and Nigeria can qualify out of this group. Argentines are overrated, if not for messi's hat trick in their final qualifiers, they would have missed the WC.

We were at South Africa. Since our debut in 1994, we have only missed the World Cup once (Germany 2006).

In South Africa, we were in Group B. Don't also forget Yakubu's miss against South Korea and Keita's red card during the Nigeria - Greece match. It all happened in South Africa 2010.

We will need to work very hard to even qualify as 2nd

In my lifetime, I have seen Nigeria vs Argentina; 4 times at the world cup, 2 times at the confed, 3 friendlies, 2 times at the olympics, couple more times at the under age tourneys! Sickening to pair them again. I am sure the Argies are sick of us too by now.

As you said, it is a tough group and we may just be back on the plane home after 3 matches considering that we are the lowliest of the group. But then again, it is the mundial and anything can happen!

This is the 6th times of Nigeria appearance and this is 5th times that we're going to play against Argentina 94 2002 2010 2014 and coming 2018 Argentina always beating Nigeria but this time we're beating Argentina
