My God, how teachable is this guy?

Siting an industry brings economic and social development in that area. Or is the economics too big for you to understand?

My brother, Please don't let any afonja use you in derailing this beautiful fact revealing thread, the point of this thread is to seek "which region is the least developed region" in the federation, now that it has been established that SW is the least developed region in Nigeria the next question should be why is the SW the Least developed region in Nigeria, despite collecting the bulk share of the oil money and not seeing the war.

Please note that this thread have really battered the ego's pride, lies and propaganda of the afonja as sophisticated or developed and has gone even further to show that they did not contribute in the development of Lagos, so to cover the bitter truth they have been making attempt at derailing this fact revealing thread please do not help them achieve that aim if at all you must engage them, end every post of yours with "why is SW the least developed region" and you will get a resounding silence on that.

If they want stats on Health, wealth, Poverty, Education and Industry index they should create another thread for that and they will meet another resounding victory from Ndigbo, mind you all the index chat that afonjas posted have Lagos in it as part of SW remove Lagos and watch the percentage drop by 98 percent, leaving them behind NE. so please do not assist them afonja in derailing this thread. Let them create another thread for Baseless argument and they will be once again shamed like they have been on this thread.

Why is the south west so undeveloped?

Is there any good reason for the level of decay in the south west?

Look at people who claim to be developing about..

The National Bureau of Statistics on Friday released the Internally Generated Revenue figures for states of the federation for the third quarter of this year, with 19 states generating a total revenue of N149.45bn.

The bureau in the report, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent in Abuja, stated that 17 states had yet to submit their IGR reports for the period.

The report stated that Lagos State recorded the highest IGR, with N73.74bn; while Ogun State followed with N16.9bn.

Delta recorded N13bn in IGR; Kaduna, N6.3bn; Oyo, N5.6bn; Enugu, N4.7bn; Bayelsa, N4.3bn; Akwa Ibom, N3.3bn; Cross River, N2.83bn; and Ondo, N2.7bn; and Plateau, N2.5bn.

Others are Osun, N2.4bn; Benue, N2.3bn; Imo, N1.6bn; Jigawa N1.6bn; Taraba, N1.5bn; Ekiti N1.3bn; Zamfara, N1.2bn; and Yobe, N1.1bn.

The report read in part, “A total of N149.45bn was generated by states in third quarter of 2017. This excludes Rivers, Sokoto, Nasarawa, Niger, Kwara, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Gombe, Edo, Borno, Bauchi, Adamawa, Abia, Ebonyi and Anambra states, which have not yet reported their IGR figures for Q3 2017.”

The Acting Chairman, Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Shettima Abba-Gana, had said the decline in allocation from the Federation Account by over 30 per cent had made it imperative for the commission to assist states to increase their IGR.

He said while some states had made efforts to increase their IGR to a level that was up to the amount they were getting from the Federation Account, others had yet to make such efforts.

Abba-Gana stated, “We have a resilient economy that despite the drop in revenue by one third, things are still going on although with difficulty, and we are improving.

“Some states have now been able to raise their Internally Generated Revenue to a level that is enough to pay their salaries. And the others are also catching on. There is an increase in interest by the states to raise their IGR and to diversify.”

He added, “Some states are already generating the same amounts that they receive from the Federation Account and we must commend those states.

Answer :

give us the statistical backup of your hardwork via IGR. Besides, how man non-indegenes do you allow to thrive in your hostile, crime-infested, erosion-ravaged region of yours? Hostility drives investors away from your region, while tolerance and accommodation herald prosperity to the SW.US is a nation amorphous people, its greatness. We will continue to be tolerant untill your region is made desolate and uninhabitable by enticing all your productive people to our region. All your well-to-do people have their investments in SW and more are still coming. We USA of Nigeria. It is just a strategic policy to depopulate SE by having your best brains in SW, while the block-headed, never-do-well ones are left in your cursed land.

Another good ibo man who understand the situation of things and was ashamed to say it as it is :

A bum nwafo, nwokem. That guy has a point...we Igbos should stop defending our indefensible and corrupt leaders and start demanding accountability and responsibility.

He's very right...Anambra State hardly releases their IGR...that way citizens can't track it and demand accountability.
