As much as I loved the way our team attacked last night except for a few tiny mistakes we can't even hope to win the title with defending like that (We need to learn that type of discipline from Mourinho s teams) and honestly I'd smack that armband in Koscielny's face because he was the last person on the pitch who deserved it based off of yesterday's performance. This goes to show that we can't expect Koscielny or Mustafi to lead us into big matches. I'm proud of the way Ozil, Ramsey and Lacazette played but this defensive incompetence infuriates me because it's not necessarily the manager's fault.

If we had a world class defence then we wouldn’t be conceding incredibly stupid goals. You need big strong and fast centre backs that can bully the likes of Pogba and Lukaku. Nor paperweights like Monreal and old grand pas like BFG. It is completely annoying that Arsenal let Gabriel leave and then chose not to replace him.

A championship winning team is built on a mean defence. Ours is a very generous one.

i blamed those two in my earlier post, but I won’t rule out the fact that the keeper is the last line of defence. He needs to turn up when it matters. Just look at those saves Ospina made against PSG last season, look at what Gea did last night, then look at Cech yesterday. You’ll get a clearer picture.

Koscienly and Mustafi's mistakes were both personal and tactical problems. Wenger wants the attack to start from the defenders when we have possession. However, you would observe with both goals that Koscienly and Mustafi were both trying to force the ball into the center circle where either Xhaka or Ramsey were positioned. This is in a bid to beat the United pressure and gain attacking position. Our central midfielders were player higher up when our defenders had the ball, with hopes the defenders can thread that a pass to them and expose United's midfield and when it works it is great, because we would be in U ited's half, however, when it fails, it is disastrous.

Xhaka should be close enough to the central defender so he can bring the ball up the field and in the instance he loses the ball we would still have both defenders for cover but that was the opposite. Also he has a longer range pass than the back four and that is why I said it's a tactical problem.

It's also a personal problem because both defenders are experienced defenders, infact, one is a World Cup winner, while the other plays for the talented Les Bleus. This was a difficult loss especially when you consider we did not play badly despite going down early.

check your defenders, 5 on 1 and none marking Valencia.

FFS we had 15 shots on target and beat the keeper only once ManU had 4 on target and beat the keeper thrice. Meaning Cech made one safe out of four that’s poor for a goalie at that level.

I got a revelation in the game against Man Utd. We should go back to a back four and play 4-5-1 with Xhaka as the sitting DM and Ramsey the runner. Ozil and Sanchez playmakers behind Lacazette. The way we were slicing the United defence, we could beat any team that day with more ruthlessness and less tension.
