CBN should remove the N360/$ exchange rate at the interbank and allow the Naira appreciate to N330/$

The best comment so far on the thread as far as I'm concerned. Those akamu brains talking about general price levels of commodities should have known that this is how the price can come down. Left for me, 330/$ is even too high, it should be brought down to the official rate of 306/$.

1. Nigeria needs Brent to be at $120 and above to see some appreciation.

2.Much of the forex we earn goes to debt servicing.

Actually we don't . . . it's a double-edged sword especially when you import refined petroleum products.

We need to be able to refine our crude, produce a big chunk of our own food, especially rice (processing inclusive), have an efficient railway system, power supply, reduction in importation of essentials like steel, etc., implement smart out-of-the-box monetary policies, tap into other sources of Forex earnings i.e. the extractive industry, manufacturing industry, and diaspora remmitances.

The above are more important than Brent at insane prices.

Personally, as far as increase in the value of the Naira goes, I was just thinking little progress like N320-N340/$ . . . I mean with the government claiming 90% reduction in rice importation and crude at $65.
