Please gurus in the house

Please , I really need advice and direction. Am 28yrs and waec is my highest level since I left high school in 2008. Recently, I got admitted into Canadian college, please what are my chances of getting a study permit. To be honest, travel agents have really discouraged me with their 'you have pass the age limit '. Please guys, what should I do at this point??

If you think the agents are right, you are right.

If you think they aren't right, you are also right.

My opinion; take the risk (but don't go dash CIC money o...dem go gladly chop am)

Godspeed.

Hello,
As to your questions, number 1 needs your decision but as for me, my opinion is to do it yourself and not use any agent, you will get any information here on how to go about it, just take your time to go through the thread.

2. I'm not sure about transcript but I've seen various people submit it with their applications and as for getting it, you are entitled to collecting a student copy transcript from your school and they will give you that. Don't request for an official copy but for student copy.

3. NO, you don't need to write IELTS for visa application.

4. Presently, the processing time is 20 weeks.

I hope this helps. God be with you

*4. 19 weeks processing time now.

Hello house .. please is there anyone that has applied to usask recently .. I’m trying to apply but I can’t find where to upload my transcript .. do I have to send it to them via postal mail ..

Hi... I recently applied there. I was able to upload my documents after paying the application fee but it's not named transcript, it's "Preliminary Statement of Marks".

Thank you for the response , one other thing I didn’t find any space for research statement , how much were you charged on your card and what bank card did you use

This is not Good, embassy this is not good for our heathy nature, after waiting for 6months and 6 days. I was refused on this. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. But winners never quit. @austinepee4, Maziude, weath360, yamdogg, canadiannurse, and juyuwa02. Thanks a lot. Tho I knew this forum after I have applied. But rooms are open for advice. But this is not Good.

You are right, this doesn't look good at all. But I tell you what. I have seen one guy who had the same things checked against him who later went on to be approved on a second try. I will advice that you set your house in order should you be applying again. Who is your sponsor? How much money does he or you have in the bank? A strong financial and asset showing in your favor can offset all the reasons checked against you. So if applying again, present a strong financial standing or look for a sponsor who has or even a full scholarship. I can see all the reasons checked going out of the door the way they came in if you do so.

Hello everyone, this is my first post on nairaland. So am a little new to the way things are done here. I would appreciate it anyone with considerable knowledge could answer my questions:
1. What are my chances of getting a trv approval for a post bacceulurate program in int. Business at thompson rivers university?

2. Do I have anything to fear considering moat trv approvals are for msc and phd programs

3. I graduated in 2014 completed my nysc scheme in 2015 and since 2016 have been working for my father in his registered company. How do I sell that as employment history?

4. Also being the first child and a director in his company do you guys think this will help for home ties?

I would appreciate it I can get answers to this questions

Congratulations and wish you all the best. My fear is people going for diplomas, grad. Certificates, post bacc. Etc have lesser chances of securing trv approvals

I did not pay the fee myself. I sent the equivalent to someone in canada to make the payment for me. I dunno the course you're applying to but there was a place to upload research statement in mine. Again, i was able to upload my documents only after i had paid.

My friend with your experience you could come to Canada as a permanent resident through the express entry program instead of going through school and spend such huge amount of money paying school fees

all the documents I submitted were photocopies except bank details
I didnt write an sop, just questionnare, I wouldnt suggest you do the same though if youve got some explanation to do so you could be like youve got properties to inherit from your father, the more experienced nairalanders can expanciate more on this
