How did he just randomly find the thiefs number?

Probably he saw the said thief before his phone got missing and since the thief wasn't around when the phone disappeared, he became the suspect,hence the search for him(number)

I agree with you. That's assault on the girl slapping someone without evidence that they have your phone.

You don't slap someone that doesn't steal your phone for slapping sake. You are a lucky man if you had slap my sister I for show you say what slapping is. The guy nick your phone go for him not the girl beside why are the security whatsoever after it arrested the girl really Nigeria have gone mad

Women n their power eh. This happened to me a few years back during my undergraduate days at the uni. There was this babe I wanted to date at all cost, i was living off campus n she was living with her parent as a next house neighbour, though she was also an undergrad in the same uni. My relationship with her parent was cordial cuz we are of this same tribe. Despite all my effort n tribal sentiments, this babe doesn't give a damn about me. And you know hell has no fury like a guy scorned by next house girl. I was looking for a way to get my pound of flesh. So, one fateful late morning, the opportunity presented itself n i grab it with immediate alacrity. I was sitting by my reading desk, by my window jacking cuz I hardly read at night. My desk was by window for lightening purpose, I guess u understand. From my window I can see the front entrance to the girl's house since it wasnt fenced. From my window you can equally see what's happening outside, but the person outside may not be aware that you are watching. her parent normally leave for work n business as early as 8am leaving her alone in the house if she doesn't go to school. All of a sudden I see this girl after my heart hugging one fine dude in frontnof their house, obviously welcoming him, probably to come and bleep her. Chai, I was so furious.I decidedI must scatter this arrangement today. If it must happen, not under my nose. I threw my book aside n pickup my phone searching for her number bcus despite being rejected i was sure I still have her contact.though she didn't have mine. I quickly sent her a text, tongue lashing her about her pretentious, holy thou postures. Warning that if she didn't dismis that guy I will call the parent right way. she immediately called me back in shaky voice asking for my identity which I told her I was a pastor in the area who hear n sees every immorality n my mission was to abort them n i still reaffirmed my earlier warning to contact her parents.She was so shaky and i was enjoying it. after couple of minutes I saw the guy hurriedly dashed out of the house. I was so happy cuz I can imagine how worried She was. Atleast it's 1-1 draw. I thought it was over, swimming in the euphoria of my victory. Little did I realize this girl was hell bent on unravelling the identity of the man behind her aborted bleeping plan. I was just sitting with my guys in the evening telling them how I delt with the girl cuz they are all aware of the history between us, when my phone rang, on picking the call, I heard one of the sweetest, sexy, mesmerising voice at the other end of the line berating me why I stood her up n asking me why she didn't hear from me again. Chai, my brain was automatically formatted forgetting that someone was after me. I quickly asked the caller whether she knew who she was talking to n without even waiting for her response,I went ahead to fully introduced myself. Chai, within a milli sec that the words left my tongue that it occured to me that I had fall my hands.it was like jazz wallahi. Immediately I started talking tough n issuing threats that her friend on whose behalf she was made the call to expose my identity, asking her to inform her she can't do nothing because I wasn't a pushover at the uni. But I knew the damages was done. The truth was that I was rightly sure there wouldnt be any serious repercussion cuz I was just trying to have fun n made my crush looked miserably that day but the power in a woman voice cut short my victory dat day. Later she invited man o war guys for me, which fortunalely she didn't realized I was a member n also some tough guys to intimidate me, and honestly most of the guys were my men n we just resolved the matter amicably. But till I graduated n left Jos for abuja, the girl avoided me like plague. Not that it mattered to me though.

imagine! police and Army just because of A second hand cheap phone, they even travelled across the country just for a phone? you see? over here if some one stole your phone you just call the phone's insurance company and they will replace your phone simple! police will tell you that they do not have the time and resources to chase After your phone, come back when a real crime has been commited, i have lost my phone for the 7th time, it's just a phone! i guess his life depends on his phone, who gave him the right to even slap an innocent girl? if he tried that here he will be looking at 12 months in jail infact if he even slapped the real thief who stole his phone will be going to jail too.
