A customer can never slap me and go just like that. Even if I was wrong, I must make sure he/she takes his/her own dose of slaps too. No cheating

Sincerely have always pondered on that too. Some customers are devilish and the employers in turn act dumb sometimes in my own opinion. Where i work, if you make a mistake of giving out goods to whom you arent supposed to give to, you will have its money deducted from your salary.
Something happened recently, an egyptian woman claimed she wanted supply for her and her neighbor thats not booked for, the other guy was trying to let her know its not possible cos the conpany already gave the list of whom to supply to and those ppl are waiting too and would complain if there supply is short. This woman just dey argue argue, enter vehicle carry goods by force o and put at the back of her door. Thw other guy had to take it back and put inside the vehicle. Thats how the woman treatened to call the police that he had no right to pick something behind her door without permission that he had burgled her apartment and the guy said to her she burgled his vehicle first and he will tell the police to check the cam.
This woman called the company line, complained and like two supervisors came. They gave the woman stock and extra two .
Back at the office, they told the guy the extra two will be deducted from his salary and then he will get additional warning letter. The dude was so pissed and told them he cant sign, and they were like they will sack him and then he agreed.
This is a company that if he had given the woman the stock, they will query him, if he inform them back at the office , they will definitely tell him not to give the woman the stock.
To protect the company/personal interest na wahala.
Lol

#Customers are very funny.

A very troublesome customer who had once walked away with my company's money after making purchase came to make another purchases again at my workplace few days ago.He gave me two hot slap simply because I demanded for payment before service.I retaliated by giving him a blow in his mouth. And the management queried me for retaliating. They said customers are always right.Dont I,as a staff have right too?My grievance with all this employers is that when a customer walk away with their money, the employer will not say the customer is right for running away with payment. They will quickly deduct the money from the staff salary at the end of the month. But,when a staff argue with a customer who refuse to pay after service, they will say customers are always right. They can even fine such staff.Well,i have resign sha.

Absolute NO! Its highly subjective and based on context. Come to think of it, dont you know both parties involved are tagged 'customers' (in business parlance)

No, customers aren't always right but you must treat them as if they are always right. grin
Re: Customers Are Always Right; How True Is This View? by Ritajovy(f): 8:09am On Dec 07, 2017
Customers are not always right. The thing is that everyone wants to be right n important. So we use that fact to our advantage when dealing with customers. So that way, in their mind, they are right. Retaliating wasn't the best thing to do. I will recommend a book on human relationship- How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie. It talks exhaustively on this issue and how to avoid it.Get it!!

Resigning is actually not the best thing. What happens in your next job when such incident plays out again? You can't keep resigning.

Revenge is sweet when it's served chilled.
Why not trace the customer to a lonely spot and beat the hell out of him/her?
The customer will learn that you are the king instead.

According to the marketing concept, the customers are always right.
Because, the customers holds the key to make your business thrive and also to liquidate your business....your business prosperity solely depends on customer patronage, hence this equate his utility drived from consuming your service or product .

Summary, never argue with a customer let alone fight one, else he spends his money elsewhere.

What customer in his sane mind would slap you without any provocation?.
Something about this story doesn't add up.
Some customers are not sane... Ever heard the word many are mad but few are roaming?
Having worked in different sales outlets and service rendering I can say that...some customers are nightmarish and should be avoided.. Its a pity employees get punished for some situation beyond there control...
Lemme give an example someone come to your firm take a sealed product bargain price and ask you to test it...you insist on payment before u open the product as that is the coy policy she start insulting u that u are disrespecting her or calling her a pauper, u keep mute waiting for her to pay up next thing she slaps you for wasting her time... What do you do?

Another customer count money for a product ask you to test the product you break the seal, open accessories inside and test , they he says he don't fancy the colour. What will u do? No body will buy a new product with broken seal..is the customer right in these instances because these n more are what we experience in my line of work

But don't these commenters reason?

Somebody's wife/husband/mother/father will slap another's because they want to buy a product?

Ha!!!

I just pray God blesses me the way I want it. Even seeing my fiancee struggle for public bus and pushed here and there makes me uncomfortable, then someone would come and slap her because she is an employee?

Let me explain. This guy came to make purchase and walked away with my money.I am the cashier. The next time he came,i could recognise him.I asked him why he left without paying. He started insulting me that I was embarrassing him in front of his female guest. That I was crazy and all that.I didn't utter a word.I just wanted him to pay me because my employer has already deducted it in my salary. It was ₦3k.You can see that they didn't say the customer was right for absconding with their money.Anyway,He reluctantly paid after much pressure. When he wanted to make another purchase I demanded money first before I could sell anything to him. That was how he landed 2 dirty slap at my face.I had to retaliate with a blow.It was a self defense.

My brother, u speak like one of those ogas that don't have time to visit the field work. You may only be relaxing at the comfort of ur office believing that every customer out there are normal, descent and golden. Most of them are devils that can assault a staff with just telling them good morning.

I am in a job where i see more than 3,000 customers daily. I kw what our customers pass through many of the devilish ones among them. A geteman getting slapped by a woman wen the Gateman told her that her parking was wrong. A customer dragging the cloth of a staff cos he/she was told to wait so that ppl b4 get attended to before her. I have to most of the times come out from office to plead wt the customers. And wen you plead wt them, they belive they are totally right.
Customers' assault to staff are just unbearable.

When i set up a small business centre wen i was waiting for a better job opportunity, I had first hand experience of this fallacy of Customers bn right at all times.

There was this troublesome customer of mine. He feel that he has money and that need his patronage. He also beliv that he is educated adeel that i was not as educated as he was cos of hbiz i was doing. He never knew i was far more educated than he was.
He will always like to me troubles whenever he comes to patronize me. One day he came with his normal trouble, I stood him up told him to walk out of my business and never come back. He was shocked. I told him that there are many ple that do the same thing i do that he can go and try them out.
Due to the quality of service i renders, the next day he came and apologized.

When u dont control some of these toxic customers, they will ruin biz. Place them where they are supposed to be and see them respecting ur staff and biz.
