Dear sleekier, sorry for your refusal. You have to apply for your GCMS to understand this refusal in full and from the VO’s perspective. However, in my opinion, I suspect some errors.
Firstly, as I have always advised, whenever an application is for an entire family, the burden is greater on the applicants and the application has to be more detailed and rooted.
Secondly, you earn decent money. Noted. And ,between you and your wife, 5m naira. But the money you have available for this trip( which may be interpreted as the budget for the trip) was 20000CAD for you two which is more than 5m naira but what will raise a VOs concern is why you are budgeting your entire savings for this trip. Did you use the letter of explanation to clarify that this was not your intention? Because, it somewhat seems like you were planning to not return.

If you decide to reapply sometime, make your nuclear family application. Make sure your proof of funds is very legible and Itemize your money properly. You and your wife can afford a holiday trip with your child to Canada it just has to be carefully presented to a VO and make sense. Also make sure your documents are legit and no previous denials on an issue that hasn’t been addressed. Again, travel history has no play in this refusal as new travelers get visas daily and the VO didn’t even bother to tick it. It was mostly about funding which you have but did not itemize carefully leading the VO to think otherwise. Your GCMS notes will clarify this refusal. Best of luck

Her salary is not bad, she can give it a go and see what happens

Hello! Please i need your guidance. So she submitted her application on Monday last week and her passport was returned yesterday, she was refused visa based on the following reasons: Travel History, Purpose of Visit and Personal Assets and Financial status. It was to attend a 2-day conference.

1. Now in her travel history, she has travelled to the U.K and other European countries(for business and vacation) in the last 5 years.

2. For purpose of visit, she submitted the invitation letter from the Organisation conducting the conference she is to attend on behalf of her company plus receipt showing registration for the Conference.

3. Now for Personal Assets and Financial Status, she submitted all her Employment, Promotion and Introduction/Authorization letters, her payslips for the last 6 months, her company CAC docs, tax clearance certs, both personal and company account statement for last 6 months. Her account statement balance was less than 900k.

So what could have been the issue? What is she missing here?

Thanks.

Hhmmmm I'm getting scared with the rate of refusal by the day, planning to submit mine next week via Paper rout. Does she has a family ties? They also consider the inflows on the account not only the current balance, the Total Credit and Total Debit on the statement also matters. My opinions duo.

You are correct however her account Total Debit and Credit is really standard. My dear, I applied this year with a lesser sum of money in my account like 200k and was accepted even without any travel history. As for her family ties, it seems that was satisfactory because they did not give that as a reason for rejection.

So I'm even more confused.

House..... Please your help is really needed.

I want to apply for a tourist visa through paper route.
Questions:
1. Will payment be made by cash at the VAC?
2. Will biometric be done same day immediately after payment?
3. Which is acceptable, original or photocopy documents?

Thanks

Good day house. I just got an email this morning 08 December 2017(3 months after biometrics) to submit my original passport. I already have a US Visa appointment scheduled for 5th Jan 2018. My concern is that I am not sure if Canadian embassy would have returned my passport before the 5th Jan 2018 US visa appointment. thanks
Please does anyone know how long the Canadian embassy take to return the passport, as I do not want to reschedule my US visa appointment.

Nairalanders I noticed on this travel section we don't have any forum for people that intend to travel to Canada just for visiting or tourism we only got Canada student visa forum and when people try to ask for help on there people don't render any help. I'm not a Visa guru myself. I created this so people can drop there problem and some Nairalanders that knows better can answer them back. Thanks

I want to travel to Canada for a visit but all efforts prove abortive, how can I succeed my people

Hello y'all. My story goes thus:

I intend to apply for a Canadian visit visa with my wife only. I have over 2m in my account atm. We intend visiting my close friend who lives and works in Vancouver. My wife and I have extensive travel history to the US and UK however she is unemployed at the moment. I also currently have in my pfa account over 7m and earn close to 300k monthly minus bonuses. Based on the frequent rate of denials ive seen i dont want to do make any mistake in my application.

Please advice if there is anything i need to include in my application to make it more appealing to the VO.

Finally i also need the links to apply as we have not applied before and dont know where to begin.

you might get the visa however i really doubt if your wife will get a visa considering that she does not seem to have any real ties to home country that is Nigeria or does she? I understand that obtaining a Canada visa is not really about how much is your bank account balance, it is about the influx of transaction into that account within the last 6 months. When i applied for my Canada visa, my account balance was just 200k and i did not even have travel history but they could easily verify my ties to Nigeria and believe that i will return home.

Standard processing days is about 90 something days but we've seen some online spps processed in 2 or more weeks in recent times.

May be you can write them to explain the urgency. But if you did the online, app you have no worries you can proceed to you trip while you wait for your passport request, even at that you still have some days deadline to for the passport submission.

All the best.

Am not a bro but a bae and a pretty one at that.

Well paper app cannot really be predicted, you may just have to wait till whenever the processing is done or you request to withdraw your app, whichever one suits you.

All the beat
