Inspiring story. The heroine is not just her but the person in the background : her amazing mother! I wish young men appreciated the magnitude of the choice they make on who should be their wife and the mother of their children. One major difference between SHE and I..... She was born deaf... but I was not,got my problem at age Eight. She had access to hearing aids as early in her secondary school days... but I didn't, I could not.. got mine recently 10 YEARS after graduating from university. Other are.. I stumbled to negative pressure in chasing my dream but she DIDN'T. I end up being an Economist instead of a Doctor... But she did it, she become a Doctor. Apart from the above, all she said was a hundred percent correct. she gave an exactly full description of ME (HERSELF) . I can't help it but admire and respect her greatly even though I don't know her. May God almighty continue to give her GREATER REASONS to glorify HIM everyday, Amen! |

sonya4all:Sign language?? To what end?? Who will I be communicating sign language with?? I will put it at roughly 95% of the citizens doesn't know sign language and I am. convinced that sign language are mainly for people who can't TALK. Are you assuming that I can't talk or something because I never said that I can't talk nor did I say I say I can't communicate. honourable356: My brother,there are a thousands and one reasons why you should learn sign language as an alternative source of information having lost your hearing.. In sign language we listen with the eyes and speak with our hands. It's gives you an identity. I understand you said you can speak. And we have different categories of deafness...yours is hard of hearing,but generally it's termed as DEAF. We have lots of Nigeria deaf professors and lecturers who can speak but can hear and they use sign language, working with an interpreter to get feedback or correspondence simultaneously,not necessarily through write ups... I'll urge you to Google the name ,Mandy harvey..she lost her hearing and started learning sign language, So please sign language is not only for those who can't speak..I talk to you about this because I an a sign language interpreter.. thanks.
