Nigerian Midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has again been awarded a Man of the Match Award for outperforming everyone on the field in a Leicester City win over Newcastle United.

Kelechi Iheanacho has congratulated fellow Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi after he was named Man of the match as Leicester City won 3-2 at Newcastle United in a Premier League game.

Ndidi played his 16th straight full league game for Leicester City at Newcastle United, while Iheanacho was an unused sub.

“Tough game today but we came out with 3 points. Congrats to my brother @ndidi25 Wifred ‘onyi’nye’ Chukwu on being named Man of the Match,”Iheanacho tweeted.

Ndidi praised “great team spirit” for the road win.

Leicester are eighth on the table with 23 points from 16 matches.

I watched the game from the beginning to the end. I thought Mahrez deserved it with his long range left footed effort that gave Leicester the first goal.

Ndidi won alot of aerial balls but he is beginning to play like the old Mikel at Chelsea, too much back passes but he did well. He was solid, always well positioned with good vision. His all round performance was good. Congratulations.

Bros abeg praise naija players, mahrez played well against Newcastle no doubt just because he scored a nice goal doesn't make him man of the match,we are all carried away by goals, the guy is not like Mikel this guy is more of Kante, for your information he already has 3 assist this season in the premier league so what are you saying such players help their team a lot,how many goals did kante score last season?he came 9th on the balon d or, ahead of many strikers, you really need to see the work of defensive midfielders and give them credit,I repeat my self this guy is different from Mikel he is more of a kante, this guy is the 11th most valuable u21 player in the world, you think it's a fluke,i rest my case .

Thank You Jare @andrew444, The vote is not a PDP VS APC award that is prone to rigging, he was awarded because he was the best Midfielder on the field and his team won. It is because of his hardwork in the Midfield that the goalscorers got the opportunity to score and the defenders were able to prevent further goals. Ndidi is making Nigeria proud silently, he is not appearing in the news for anything else other than his hard work. We should be proud of him.

every team need warriors. ndidi is a warrior in the midfield

with ndidi, moses, ekong, uzoho, Onaz, ogu I believe naija will do well in world cup. I believe these are our natural warriors

it is quite fitting that in Mikel we have an elegant captain to manage these warriors
