Limb keh, I'm no politician. It's my own personal opinion cheesy

Actually no matter who the politician is, there's always a place where you can get into trouble for adoring him.
I still had a heated conversation yesterday. Thank goodness I didn't get tribal marks at adulthood

since I watched the video of that AVM about issues with NAF in which he made mention of political will to fund the defence sector. I just gave up in expecting a large and impressive military purchase .

I need to know why we didn't go for the well armed type 056. Any idea?
AVM Chukwu is telling lies tpo himself and to those who dont check facts. I saw the video and ignored it, but with people saying things I will drop a comment.

NAF is the biggest thief in Nigerian military history, as in 2011-2015 Nigeria spent over $ 15 billion on defence alone!!!

Algeria spent $ 8 billion on the fantastic weapons purchases that you see in photos all over the internet, it made Algeria the undisputed most modern military in Africa and the second most powerful after Egypt according to global firepower.

Compare Nigerian military to Algerian military in terms of equipment, then put your tribe, religion and political party aside for 10 minutes, I am sure your God given conscience will tell you that Nigerian military 2011-2015 was the most corrupt in the world.

Why did NAF not replace their Jaguars when oil was $100 a barrel and we gave them around $ 4 billion from defence budget? Instead Air Marshals Badeh, Amosu, Umar etc all purchased billion naira mansions in Abuja and Lagos, then forcing NAF to keep flying 30 year aged Alpha jets.

Where was political will in 2011-2015 ? Today oil is down to $50 a barrel our government is spending over $ 360 million on those 12 new mi-35m hind e helicopters alone, and we ll finally replace Jaguar with jf-17, alpha jet with yak-130, and mig-21 with mig-29 or mig-35. This is the current political will in the era of falling oil price and many hungry people on our streets starving to coma. My friends in Abuja always blame our hunger on current defence budget because it is either we buy enough weapons or we buy enough food in our war with Boko Haram, its a hard choice and we all know. Give us oil at $100 a barrel today and you will see mig-35 land in NAF TAC base Makurdi in NAF colors.

If you want to make Nigeria great again, senate should pass new law of death sentence for corruption like China did to save itself from Chinese corruption and become great.

Now silence your God given conscience and put on your Nigerian tribal, religious and political feelings again, then tell me to go to hell.

I am not sure if she's a civilian. Maybe a civilian working with the Nigerian Navy because she's got numerous pictures aboard our naval ships.

One question, whose fault is it? Alex Badeh or the current CAS. I agree it's corruption but the power was in the hands of the previous CAS.

Now, the government already traced those properties. Why not sell them off and purchase new items for the NAF? I see no reason in seizing those assets. Just dispose them off and use the proceed to fund the Nigerian Air Force.

NAF the biggest thief..?

Was the whole $15 billion spent on the NAF alone ?

Was the $15 billion truly spent on defence or was siphoned by jonathan lead thief's and Co.

Two-third of that money was not spent on defence, so who are you blaming the then CDS, CAS or the politicians ...

Let's get our facts right.

What happens when a single MIG-29 gets painted by 4 armed F-7?

Is just a simple sturv. We agree our airforce isn't great but Chad's single Mig-29 will do no much harm.

I don't trust the Chadian. But if such things happens it would really tarnish the image of the armed forces, especially the NAF.

Our F-7 can go a long way in stopping the MIG-29s. But the thing is they would av striked before been detected.

The question his; what security measures do we have or put in place in detecting intruders from getting into our airspace.

Like the turkey/russia saga, how much time did it take the Turkey airforce jet for it to be airborne?
How did they dictect an intruder into there airspace and how did they took it down !

It's not only having the Mig or Su' jets that matters huh

you've asked tangible questions unfortunately nobody here can provide answers.

however, defense of a particular place is usually done while following a 'laid down' procedure or policy. you can't just go and buy a bunch of stuffs (missiles, aircraft etc ). they have to integrate together for better working efficiency.

in Nigerian case, it's either we don't know or we don't want to. if you would notice, even in this forum people don't demand for new gadgets anymore because everyone is tired.

I hope Nigeria gets it right sha.

Don't worry, our jf 17 will handle them... Oh wait they ve not arrived yet. The only thing to do is to pray to whatever God you believe in for their engine to malfunction. grin.

Seriously though, I wish the Air Force will be patient so we will go for jf 17 block 3. From its specifics, it's a 4.5 gen like the Gripen. Mass production should start by 2019.

But on this same thread I have laid to rest the question of radar cover

The NAF uses the Russian P17,P35 and Tin Shield. Except Chadian Air force lads can fly nap of the earth perfectly they would be detected

The TRACON is also there. The NAF's issue is now networking it with their radars

the F7 may not be top of the line but it will do what it was built for. Intercept

you cannot replace a fighter jet with a missile system. even as a stop gap.

ask USA.

How will you visually identify the target?
how do you fire warning shots?
how do you intercept and escort?

all this can't be done by a mere missile.

If you are on the defence why substitute for more attackers
Moreso,ADS apart from its physical prowess also serves as a psychological tool. A chadian jet will be forced to fly very low or very high if he is painted by a guidance radar

You know of IFF transponders?
While tracking the intruder jets take into the air to visually identify aided by GCI

Again this is not cowboy lands, every action comes with a price. You don't shoot down everything cause you have a flying cane

Honesty I av not taken the P35 and thin shield radar into consideration. Thanks for refreshing our memories.

But the the question is how integrated are these hard ware to extend our airspace-eye reach.
