My friend plan flying to IAH, Houston, then use greyhound bus to Corpus Christi his final destination

Sorry, I've been so busy. Just seeing this. Qatar plane and services is very nice. The plane we used from Lagos to Doha was ok. That from Doha to Dallas was Superb!

Their food is ok. But the lay over is 8 hours. It took me a day to get to Dallas from Lagos. It'll take me two days going back!
Thanks so much.. really appreciate. please were you provided with hotel for the layover period and how did you go about getting the ticket for the hotel reservation

They will distribute the form in the plane... just hold your pen and know the address of where you're going to... as far as I know that's all you will need and no need to fill the form from Nigeria.

Hello House, please i have an issue that requires your swift advice.

I applied for b1 b2 visa in December 2016, i filled married as my status and entered my then fiance's name as my spouse(he already had his visa then). In Feb 2017, i attended the interview and my visa was issued. A month after, the relationship crashed. I got into another relationship in September with an Nigerian American citizen who came home in August, and immediately we did traditional marriage.

In Oct 2017, i travelled to meet him and we fixed our church wedding for Dec 9. One of our invited guests from Nigeria was delayed at the POE when she told them she was coming for my marriage. She was asked if i was married before and she said no. The US immigration people called my husband asked if i was married before and he said no. After series of scrutiny they allowed my in law entry.

We discussed this with the American pastor in our church and he said the wedding be cancelled that he can't join us together.

Please what do i do at this juncture. My passport and visa carry carry my parent name.

When you lie to get visa this is the result of such act.... You're on your own as this thread is Strictly for people with POE experience... I'll advise you to share the issue with USA Visit Visa part3 thread... I'm sure they will have one or two things to say.

This is the reason why it is very bad to Lie on your application. The truth is always straight forward. But the lies always comes back to haunt the person. Honestly don't know the advice to give you. Maybe you should seek legal advice. The Irony of it all is "what you were looking for in sokoto, was all the while under the shokoto. " if only u had been patient, you wouldn't be here looking for a solution. Just get a lawyer. And come clean.

Commendable thread for those that are skeptical due to the recent travel ban issued by the U.S Government.

I came in through JFK by Virgin Atlantic September 2016. Plane touched down at 12:45 am New York Time. It was a very short queue and was busy talking with a lady I met in London during the three hours layover. On the queue; a middle-aged man directed me to a CBP officer while the lady was directed to another officer.

Me: Good morning.

CBP Officer: Morning; Passport please? Took my finger print.

CBP Officer: Why are you in the U.S?

Me: For professional development Program on Contract Management and negotiation. I mentioned date of training and the University it was held.

CBP Officer: How long are you staying?

Me: 10 days

CBP Officer: Okay, welcome to the U.S. Stamped me in for 6 months.

Me: Thank you.

Proceeded to Agriculture and scanned my Bag through and that was it.

No need for panic if your intention in the U.S is straightforward.

Thanks. In a situation where I am going to hustle, and am asked why I came to the US, what do I tell them. Also, what do I reply, if the question of how long will you be staying arises?

Tell them you have visited to hustle and the situation in your country is bad.

Tell them how much you earn in Nigeria and how much you could earn in America.

If they ask you how long you are staying, you could say 2 years but if they think 2 years is too much, negotiate for 1 and half. Stand your ground. They like when you are bold and confident and can clearly state what you want.

If you have further questions, do not hesitate to ask. We are happy to help bro

I don't see any issue just make sure you've confirmed the hotel reservation before leaving Nigeria and have a good idea of how much it will cost to take a bus to Florida from New York because I know and I'm very sure flight from N.Y to Florida will be cheaper than taking a bus.

Tell them you came to hustle and that you have no plan to return.... Please don't come here again.. you're one of the reason they do not issue visa to genuine travelers to the U.S.

Make sure you call the hotel before leaving Nigeria to know the status of your reservation and also pay with your card maybe expensive, I will suggest you get BTA and pay with cash.. it's just a suggestion.

If that's the plan very fine... you won't regret it because there's so much to see along the way also you should try to purchase the bus ticket from Nigeria just in case they ask you at the airport how you will get to Florida.
Have a safe journey and please share your POE transcript.

Hi, i had same experience when my kids and I went for Easter hols in April.

Firstly fill your Florida address in your I-94. At POE tell them your destination is Disney Orlando but transiting through Newyork. Not an issue at all.

We also had 2 hotel reservations in Manhattan and Orlando. We stayed 2 days in NYC before leaving for Florida by road.

l
Attached is a pics of their experience there. They had fun and the road trip was enjoyable.

I remember this. Road trips abroad are usually fun...
