Following the settlement of their divorce in November, singer Mel B has since decided to remove a tattoo containing her ex husband, Stephen Belafonte.
But instead of going for laser surgery, which can take some time to completely get rid of the inking, she opted to have surgery to completely remove it instead.
The decision has left her with 13 stitches. In 2010 she had a rib cage tattoo which read: ‘Stephen, till death do us part you own my heart.’

However, she’s now had the name ‘Stephen’ cut out of the tattoo, leaving the rest of the words in place.

Speaking to Mail Online, she revealed:

‘I wanted the tattoo removed to help close the final chapter on a toxic relationship. Even though I’ve taken the steps to remove Stephen’s name from my body, the domestic abuse will forever remain with me.’
