I want to start driving for uber but choice of car is killing me.
The Peugeot 407 is elegant classy cheaper and has low fuel consumption, averagely 30mpg, just as the same with the toyota corolla and camry.
Where i am confused is maintenance. What is th maintening a Peugeot like esp for someone who wanna use it for business.
Please advice unbiasedly. Thanks

I'll vouch for the 406 cos I'm using it and it's very good. I can't say anything about the 407 cos I've read bad reviews about it and it's not a common ride. Stick to the japmobiles if there are no peugeot experts around you.

Maintenance cost of Peugeot 407 is good for business and private use. Problem with Nigerians is the deadly disease they chose to inject in themselves called Abuse and poor maintenance culture. Nigerians love or enjoy killing their vehicles and blame others for it when the consequences become unbearable for them.

Don't buy a Nigerian used lion because its cheap. Get a Peugeot specialist involve that knows how to detect abused Lions before you buy any used Lion. It's what I do for clients. That's where my arrogance fully come ito play because I brutally tell the honest truth about what I found or know about any lion I inspect for clients, not what the seller wants me to say or even the client. Because I have had clients that wanted me to encourage them buy a severly abused lions because they are cheap, but I maintained my standard, even if it hurt their feelings. I would rather you walk away from nightmare with bad feelings about me because that's what you paid me (dont buy or recommend a nightmare for you), even if you don't understand me at the time. But by the time you get a non-abused clean lion and get all the tips from me on how not to abused lions within few days, weeks or months of the ownership, my perspective will become clearer to you, because nothing teaches better than personal experience.

Peugeot 407 is as good as Peugeot 406. You praise Peugeot 406 now because you now drive or own it and speaks from personal experience. You think Peugeot 406 don't have negative reviews as well? Even some of your Car Talk gurus warn members against buying a 406 or is this a different Car Talk I don't know about?

Peugeot 407 is as sweet as Peugeot 407. It depends on which body of them interest you the most. They both use identical and similar engines and transmissions, including similar electrical systems. So, an abused 407 will do something abused 406 would do. Likewise, a non abused 407 will perform and serve an owner same way 406 owner with same condition will experience.

So don't condemn what you know nothing about or haven't personally experienced just because of other people opinions.

fuel economy and frequency of repairs, you are better off with the corrola.

Sadly the downsides of the corrola are theft and vandalisim.

Think out of the box, get a 2007-2009 honda city 1.3liter engine.
