You are right. One cannot but pity them. You can't blame nor fault a person trying to escape poverty for the good life the West side offers. It's the same reason most people in the world prefer to migrate to the Western countries than the Eastern ones. No be by mistake say we dey on the West [best] side. undecided These people will be willing to enter the SW via Libya sef if need be. grin

You gotta come to the best side to enjoy the goodness of life. All their Anambla glorifies flyovers are already cracking and falling apart. Lol.
I'm just trying to understand the logic of claiming regional development, yet Ibos run to Yorubaland to survive, eat, and find peace.

Yorubas, in general, tend to find greener pastures in Europe/USA, but Ibos see Yorubaland as a place to get the "American dream".

It's not just igbos, Nigerians in general run to Yorubaland.

From Abia state government, a message from an Igbo governor concerning the movement of Ibo emigration to Yorubaland.

Igbos feel they need to travel to Yorubaland to survive and make money.

http://www.abiastate.gov.ng/news/how-can-we-develop-ala-igbo-by-governor-okezie-ikpeazu/

If any ibo can dispute these two facts, I'll help you find Kanu:

1. Ibos are emigrating out of Iboland

2. Ibos are immigrating to Yorubaland

Useless and heartless Governor, full of propaganda, making Osun workers and people to suffer because if worker's salaries ar not paid ,it will definitely have effect on entire people of the state. Despite allocation and Paris club fund released by the federal govt.,this heartless man is still negotiating with d labour not to pay full salary but half salary of Nov and DEC at d festive period when people needs money.Everything is just dry in d state at a period like this.God will punish this man and anyone supporting him for punishing workers like this, he will know no rest for the rest of his life for subjecting workers to penury .There is someone who died because he could not buy inhaler that is not even up to #5000 and there ar a lot of workers who died because of ailments that #3000 or #5000 could av cured but because they could not get d money , they died .Osun workers have been subjected to life of penury due to reckless borrowing and self-centered attitude of this heartless man.He gave opon-imo contract to his son,the wife has garment factory contract and he is d one in charge of road contract. This man does not need d prayer of workers but causes .

Yinmu. Entrepreneurs my a$$. You mean traders, coz to you lots opening a 2x2 shop to sell imported goods or hawking gala up and down is what you consider as 'entrepreneurship'. When it comes to quality shoe making we beat you guys hands down! #Fact. You people are counterfeiters who are known to steal more established brands' names in order to sell your products. Yorubas shoemakers on the other hand have well established original and healthy brand names that aren't knockoffs of popular western brands.

Your lies have already been busted when the same you opened a thread that led to a counter thread that exposed you loudmouths as nothing but mere empty vessels. Remember this:

That is the difference between us and you guys. Our region is versatile and evidently more robust economically, industrially, and in every other developmental index than yours. Or how else do you explain the massive deindustrialization and brain drain afflicting your accursed region and turning it into an unviable wasteland, while ours continue to soar with new investments? Facts don't lie. This below is from the horse's own mouth ooo. Enough of the hype ooo.

Here is the so called " One million shoes export and factory claim.

Show us, now, where is the one million shoes export and factory as claimed, where is it hiding? grin

Anambra commences shoe production ... target export market

By John Ndu

Ogbunike, Nov. 14, 2017 -- Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has inaugurated an ultra modern Anambra State Shoe Manufacturing market.

The market has 1,000 lock up shops with modern facilities, like security post, toilet and banking facilities.

The shops were located at Osile Ogbunike -- Nkwelle Ezunaka, expressway was constructed under a tripartite arrangement -- Anambra State Small Business Agency (ASBA), Anambra Association of Shoes Manufacturers Union and the project Developer.

Inaugurating the market, Gov. Obiano said he would continue to unveil favourable measures that would impact lives of artisans and traders at large.

Obiano, who commended the shoe manufacturers for proper utilisation of ASBA loan facilities, said it would boost production in the state as well as create jobs for the youths.

``I will continue to support them to ensure massive production of different shoes. They must be identified with Anambra State when produced.

``This is to enable us to commence export of Anambra made shoes across the country," Obiano pointed out.

A representative of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Osita Nwasinobi explained that the essence of ASBA in 2015 was to support medium businesses and promote grassroots development.

Nwasinobi commended Anambra for embracing the policy, urging other states to key into further engaging the youths meaningfully.

A Representative from Standards Organisation of Nigeria, SON, Mrs Ihuoma Olujie said her agency would partner with them to ensure quality in the production.

``We will provide technical advice to ensure that the shoes meet the required standards prescribed by SON.

``The multiple effects is job creation, security, industrialisation and it will link Anambra to the global market,” Olujie explained.

The Managing Director ASBA, Chief Clement Chukwuka said the agency had developed Micro, Small and Medium enterprises industrial clusters, and provided single digit - interest financial support to MSMEs in the state.

The Chairman Shoe Manufacturers Association Anambra State, Chief Clement Emesim explained, ``ASBA gave a loan of N500, 000 to each of our 400 members, totalling a whooping N200 million for construction of this magnificent edifice’’.

Emesim said they would compete with global markets in shoe production and promote Anambra on the fashion map of the world.

The Chairman ASBA and the Commissioner for Local Government, Chief Greg Obi re-stated that the market would boost commercial activities in the area and grassroots development.

The governor also inaugurated an administrative hall within the premises constructed under the N10 million project initiative allocated to each of the 63 registered markets in the state.

Don't mind that one. Na abiono boy boy jare.

Let me bust another propaganda ;

What is trending now is how the lie told by Willie Obiano's media aides was exposed. The story went that two girls that were sponsored to a debate competition who came last position took pictures with the governor of Anambra State while brandishing placards bearing "we won" only for someone to check the website of the competition and saw that they actually failed woefully. Disillusioned Anambrarians are venting their anger at the deception now recalling several other deceptive information that had been passed on by the same government.

The Facebook post read thus;

THE MOTHER OF ALL DECEIT

https://www.tabroom.com/index/tourn/results/event_results.mhtml?tourn_id=7725&result_id=43731

If you recall, I shared a post here about three girls from Anambra state who went to Bali, Indonesia and (supposedly) won the World Schools Debate. They are the ones in this picture, with their state governor.
My heart is bleeding now as I tell you what actually happened. The debate consisted of 53 countries. Nigeria, represented by those girls from Anambra placed a distant 48 out of 53!!! Now that was not the problem.
The problem is, probably the teachers or some other persons presented the teachers and the girls to the state governor as the winners of the debate. They printed a giant poster proclaiming WORLD CHAMPIONS. Both the teachers and the students worked in collusion. And that was how they were presented to the state governor who received them with beaming smiles. And quickly rewarded them with cash and sponsorship programmes to schools of their choice.
Thanks to technology someone now saw the link and found out that the team and students scammed their own governor and deceived the whole of Nigeria, Africa and the world. What a shame. Now, are these the leaders of tomorrow? The signs ahead are dark and ominous. I weep. World Champions my bootlace!
