9 + 8 + 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 45

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 45

Then, 987654321 - 123456789 = 864197532 => 8 + 6 + 4 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 5 + 3 + 2 = 45.

Hence proved.

987654321 is not 45, obviously. 123456789 aint 45 neither. Only the additions of this figure is 45.

The proof here is wrong and would only be correct under the assumption that negative signs are ignored, cause mathematically 0-9 is minus 1 not 1(unless you ignore the negative of course)
