The guy with the bruised elbow wasn't brutalized. He fell from running on the tarred road. This is the kind of injury guys sustain while playing football. Those that know, know. Having said that, I feel for the students. I have friends there who have complained bitterly about the delay in writing the second semester exams. What I don't suggest is students staging protests, especially MAPOLY students. If care is not taking, most of these students will sleep in cells, get beaten, parents forced to sign undertaking before they are bailed out or in some unfortunate instances, get shot by trigger happy policemen. From the pictures, we could clearly see that the protest is no longer peaceful. What happened to intellectual aluta?

I believe you are intellectual enough to handle the situation, please sir what do you suggest cos for the past 3 months, Dialogues has being made also promises made that never resulted to anything Meaningful. It easy for you to use the word intellectual aluta when you aren’t physically or mentally involved.

. Your Student Body can organize a press conference for a start (I don't know if they have done this). A well organised press conference (with both traditional & Online media present) is one of the best ways to attract positive attention to your cause. Through that, you present your case in an intellectual way as it gives you the avenue to appeal to those that matter. You can paint all those involved bad during the press conference and the onus on them to tell their sides of the story. Don't get me wrong, I am not condemning the act in its totality. The truth is that the state Govt might decide to close the school, they might get students arrested & prosecuted and come up with other draconian rules. In addition to that, a peaceful protest to NASS in Abuja with a letter of Petition will also speak volume. As I said, I have final year students as friends who are so eager to go for service. I wish you all the best bro.

Education is just overrated right now in Nigeria. If you can’t afford going to USA, Canada or Uk to study then forget it and learn a skill, trade or something.

I realized this even before I graduated. Right now I gainfully employed myself by myself. When I read stories like this on my PC i laugh at the ignorance of these young folks.

My 2cents.

As much as I sympathise with the students, I sincerely want the legal inclined people here to educate me on the following issues:

1. The law establishing MAPOLY has been repealed by the State's House of Assembly in favor of the newly established Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology (MAUSTECH) and the subsequent establishment of Ogun State Polytechnic Does that not imply that there is no entity called MAPOLY in the eyes of the law? If that is the case, does that not also by implication means that there are no students called MAPOLY students any longer?

2. If the premises above are right, does that not mean that the examination the students are clamouring for is an exercise in futility since the school does not exist any longer?

I sincerely wish to be enlightened on this.

BTW, the impunity of the State's Executives has to end someday somehow.
Well on NBTE website their is no school called Ogun Poly, they still have Moshood Abiola same on NUC No Maustech

I find it difficult to believe that Amosun is a product of the same school he is trying to destroy. The world needs to come to our rescue.
